RES 2021-58 Approving an Update to the Firearms No Discharge MapCITY OF OTSEGO

RESOLUTION NO: 2021-58
APPROVING AN UPDATE TO THE FIREARMS NO DISCHAGE MAP
WHEREAS, on Title 6, Chapter 3 of the City Code establishes regulations for the use of firearms within the
City; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-3-2 City Code provides for a map designating the areas within the City where no
discharge is allowed as regulated by Section &3-3 of the City Code;
WHEREAS, updates to the No Discharge Map are to be adopted by September 1 each year or the prior
approved map remains in effect; and,
WHEREAS, City staff recommends updates to the No Discharge Map to include properties approved for
development within the No Discharge Zone; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the proposed No Discharge Map at their meeting on 9 August
2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA THAT:
1. The No Discharge Map attached hereto as Exhibit A is adopted.
2. The adopted No Discharge Map shall be published in the Official City Newspaper, posted on the
official bulletin board at Prairie Center, and be made available on the City websitea
ADOPTED by the Otsego City Council this 9th day of August, 2021.
