Vice Chair Joy Swenson called the meeting to order at 7:15 PM. Joanie Nichols, Frieda Lobeck,
Elaine Norin and Arlene Holen were present. Ron Black, Norm Schwanbeck and alternate Janet
Bridgland were absent. Council member Virginia Wendel attended.
ELAINE MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 27, 1999 MEETING.
SECONDED BY FRIEDA. MOTION CARRIED.
Arlene reported the Cemetery Bench Subcommittee met with Harlan Rask, John Anderson, Della
Anderson and Terry Rask on June 10, 1999 and discussed possible locations for the bench.. Della
had contacted Dick Davis and he would be willing to set the bench in concrete. The cemetery
association will pick up the cost of the concrete.
Frieda submitted an updated written book report. A copy is attached
Arlene said we need 60 -minute tapes for oral history interviews, Joy will take care of getting
sleeves for typewritten pages and a package of 60 -minute tapes.
Robert Vogel's suggestion that our commission work on our "A" list was discussed. Joan will
supply commission members with copies of the July 1995 minutes, which listed 10 properties we
had considered significant at that time. Elaine will supply commission members with copies of a
longer list of possible historic sites that. she and Norm had compiled since then. Both lists will be
reviewed in prioritizing the "A" list.
Heritage Day will be discussed when Ron is here for the July meeting.
Frieda moved to adjourn, Arlene seconded. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM
We meet again on Thursday evening July 22, 1999 at 7:00 P.M. at City Hall.

According to a telephone call to Carol Olson at our City Hall,
there has been no sale activity from our three book accounts
as of that date. Our current assets relative the books remains
at $1,117.57.
