Recommend the hiring of the following employee as a seasonal parks employee:
Rene Metcalf at $13.00 per hour up for to 27 hours per week starting April 21 and running until
Saptember 19th

BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION:
Included in the 2014 budget isa park staffing structure that includes position with atentative start
date of April 21. This position is primarily devoted to mowing dutiesthroughout the season; if the parks
are not ready to be mowed, this position will assist the Park Lead with seasonal start-ups, and spring
projects. Rene Metcalf isthe person recommended for this position; he isa returning employee and has
performed this duty for the City since 2007.
