RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR 2014 STREET
MAINTENANCE PROJECTS, #14-04 and #14-05 AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR 2014 STREET MAINTENANCE
PROJECTS, #14-04 and #14-05
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request from the council, Hakanson Anderson has
prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of 2014 Street Maintenance
Projects, #14-04 and #14-05,
and has presented such plans and specifications to the council for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF OTSEGO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, dated May 21, 2014, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The city clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in the Finance and Commerce, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvement for 2014 Street Maintenance Project #14-04 under such approved plans
and specifications. The advertisement shall specify the work to be done, shall state that
bids will be opened at 1:00 p.m. on June 18, 2014, in city hall, 13400 901h Street NE,
Otsego, MN 55330. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk
and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the clerk for 5.0 per cent of the amount of such bid.
3. The city clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in the Finance and Commerce, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvement for 2014 Street Maintenance Project #14-05 under such approved plans
and specifications. The advertisement shall specify the work to be done, shall state that
bids will be opened at city hall, 13400 90th Street NE, Otsego, MN 55330. Dates for
advertisement and bid opening shall be determined by when approval of the plans by
MNDOT District 3 State Aid offices and in accordance with State Statute. No bids will
be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the clerk for 5.0 per cent
of the amount of such bid.
