01-12-09 PHITEM 3_7 CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING QUANTRELLE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2009 5:30 PM 1. Mayor Stockamp will open the Continued Public Hearing. Mayor Stockamp called the Continued Public Hearing to order. Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Mark Thorsted, and Tom Darkenwald. Dan Scharber arrived at 5:38 PM. Staff: Mike Robertson, City Administrator; Judy Hudson, Clerk/Zoning Administrator; Andrew MacArthur, City Attorney and Ron Wagner, City Engineer. 2. Continued discussion of Quantrelle Avenue Improvements. Andy MacArthur said back at the 11-24-08 Public Hearing the City would look at the Mississippi Riverwood sewer system and received notification that no one is available on site to review. He talked to Ron Black, attorney for Mississippi Riverwood and he said it is difficult to discuss with them since they are all gone for the winter. Mississippi Riverwood did submit a letter objecting to the assessment. Ron Black was in attendance and he addressed the City Council and stated his clients have no objections to a continuation of the hearing. CM Darkenwald asked if keeping the Public Hearing open can we go back with interest or when does it start. Andy explained it starts when the Resolution of Assessment is adopted. CM Darkenwald also asked when the contractor was paid. Ron explained the majority of the work has been completed and paid for. 3. Close the Public Hearing. CM Heldner motioned to continue the Quantrelle Avenue Improvement Public Hearing to April 13, 2009. Seconded by CM Thorsted. All in favor. Motion carried.
