CONTINUATION
OF PUBLIC HEARING
QUANTRELLE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS
MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2009
5:30 PM
1. Mayor Stockamp will open the Continued Public Hearing.
Mayor Stockamp called the Continued Public Hearing to order.
Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Mark
Thorsted, and Tom Darkenwald. Dan Scharber arrived at 5:38 PM.
Staff: Mike Robertson, City Administrator; Judy Hudson, Clerk/Zoning
Administrator; Andrew MacArthur, City Attorney and Ron Wagner, City Engineer.
2. Continued discussion of Quantrelle Avenue Improvements.
Andy MacArthur said back at the 11-24-08 Public Hearing the City would look at
the Mississippi Riverwood sewer system and received notification that no one is
available on site to review. He talked to Ron Black, attorney for Mississippi
Riverwood and he said it is difficult to discuss with them since they are all gone
for the winter. Mississippi Riverwood did submit a letter objecting to the
assessment.
Ron Black was in attendance and he addressed the City Council and stated his
clients have no objections to a continuation of the hearing.
CM Darkenwald asked if keeping the Public Hearing open can we go back with
interest or when does it start. Andy explained it starts when the Resolution of
Assessment is adopted. CM Darkenwald also asked when the contractor was
paid. Ron explained the majority of the work has been completed and paid for.
3. Close the Public Hearing.
CM Heldner motioned to continue the Quantrelle Avenue Improvement Public
Hearing to April 13, 2009. Seconded by CM Thorsted. All in favor. Motion
carried.
Mayor Jessica Stockamp
