02-09-22 Special City Council MinutesSPECIAL OTSEGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OTSEGO PRAIRIE CENTER WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2022 5:30 PM Call to Order. Mayor Jessica Stockamp called the meeting to order at 5:32 PM. Roll Call: Mayor Jessica Stockamp; Councilmembers: Jeff Dahl, Brittany Moores, Tina Goede, and Tom Darkenwald. City Staff: City Clerk Audra Etzel. (*) Attended via video conference. 1. Advisory Commission Interviews. The Council interviewed the following applicants: A. Paul Fields — Public Safety Commission B. Jim Breitbach (*) — Parks and Recreation Commission C. Jessica Schaffer — Parks and Recreation Commission D. John Waldron — Heritage Preservation Commission (Alternate) E. Cara Husak — Heritage Preservation Commission and Planning Commission F. John Braun — Public Safety Commission G. Matt Danzl (*)— Park and Recreation Commission H. Angi Hilde (*) — Park and Recreation Commission I. Joey Zitsman — Park and Recreation Commission and Planning Commission J. Stephanie Frazier (*) — Planning/Park and Recreation/Public Safety Commissions K. Laurie Jones (*) — Planning Commission The City Council concurred to: Reappoint Cara Husak, appoint John Waldron as the alternate position, and move Kathleen Beaudry from the alternate position to the Heritage Preservation Commission; and Reappoint Paul Fields and John Braun, move Mark Wolf from the alternate position and the alternate position will remain vacant for Public Safety Commission; and Appoint Laurie Jones to the Planning Commission; and Reappoint Jim Breitbach and Angi Hilde, move Corey Tanner from the alternate position, and appoint Jessica Schaffer (1) and Matt Danzl (2) as alternates to the Park & Recreation Commission; Laurie Jones will be stepping down from the Park & Recreation Commission. Advisory commissioners will serve four-year terms starting March 1, 2022, expiring on February 28, 2026; except Kathleen Beaudry February 29, 2024, Corey Tanner and Mark Wolf expiring on February 28, 2025. A resolution appointing the advisory commissioners as noted above will be added to the February 14, 2022 City Council consent agenda for approval. City Clerk Etzel will notify all the applicants.
