RESOLUTION NO. 94-84
FOR APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING BIDS
WHEREAS, the Otsego City Council entertained a verbal report froiti Hakanson
Anderson Associates, Inc. on special session, March 23, 1994, and
AND WHEREAS, said report detailed the feasibility of performing improvements as
follows:
Reconstruction and overlay of 80th Street between CSAH19 and Kadler Avenue.
2. Reconstriction and overlay of Kadler Avenue between 80th Street and 85th Street.
Reconstruction and overlay of 85th Street between Kadler Avenue and Jaber Avenue.
4. Replacement of a 36" culvert located on Kadler Avenue near 85th Street, and
AND WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc, determined that the
aforementioned improvements were feasible,
AND WHEREAS, the City Council accepted said verbal report by resolution at regular
session on March 28, 1994, and
AND WHEREAS, the City Council ordered plans and specifications to be prepared for
this project by Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., and
AND WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been completed.
AND WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. prepared an engineering estimate
for the projects and reported said estimate to the Council as follows: Projects 1, 2 and 3
construction costs were estimated at $124,000 (1.511 overlay) and Project 4 construction cost was
estimated at $11,600.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 13Y THE OTSEGO CITY COUNCIL that it:
Approves the aforementioned pians and specifications, and
2. Approves actions requiring the City Clerk to prepare and cause to be inserted in the Elk
River Star and in the Construction Bulletin magazine an advetiisement for bids upon the
making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications The
advertisement shall be published for three weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall
state that bids will be opened and considered by the Council at 10:00 a.m. oil May 26,
1994 in the Council chambers of the city Hall, Otsego, Minnesota and that no bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the clerk for five percent of the
amount of each bid.
