Jerome Perrault, Clerk, Betty Adkins, Asst. Clerk
were present. The meeting was called to order by Cl~a.irmn Lloyd Beaudry.
The minutes of the July 5, 1978 Town Board meeting were approved as read.
Greg Wax, proprietor of Blain Midway All Pets, Inc. appeared before
the Board to discuss providing dog-catcher services for the Township.
He stated that he has a Federal and State Licensedand inspected Kennel.
He operates on a 24 hour a day, seven days a week basis. His hourly rate
for inspection andpatrol service is $10.00 per hr..For picking up dogs,
his rate is $12.50 per hr. with no mileage charge and his rate for board-
ing dogs is $3.00 per day with no charge for disposal of dogs. He said
hi would provide patrol service or pick up dogs only at the request of
Board member or the Clerk and not a private party.
Motion made by Lloyd Beaudry that the township sign a contract
with Greg Wax (Blain Midway All Pets, Inc.) to provide dog-catcher
services for the township, The contract to be in force upon ex-
amination and approvalof Township Attorney. Seconded by Virginia
Bistodeau, passed unanimously.
Motion made by Lloyd Beaudry to delete Section 6 of the Dog
Ordinance, to revise Section 5 to read any impounded shall be kept
for not less than 5 days, instead of 5 working days as it now reads,
to revise section 7 to read a boarding fee of $3.00 per day instead of
$5.00 per day, and to contact Attorney Clifford Lundberg regarding
the revisions and re -publishing the Ordinance; seconded by William
Schulz, passed unanimously.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
