A representative of Hardrives, Inc. and Jeff Vanjehberg of Oak Hill Gravel Co. appeared to discuss the bituminous surfacing projects in Walesh Estates and Mason Av. and 80th Street. Lloyd Beaudry advised them that the town board has inspected the projects and there were some thin spots in Walesch Estates but most had been satisfactorily repaired. However, he and William Schulz had observed 7 field approaches on 80th St. that did not have blacktop aprons. Ken Ashfelt said it was possbile they were in place but buried by gravel. Lloyd Beaudry said there was a spot be- tween Lester Beaudry's driveway and Co. #19 that will probably bread up. Hardrives said that if the spot breaks up they will repair it as it is under protection of their performance bond. Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to pay Hardrives the final amount of $23,772.93 due on the projects. Seconded by Virginia Bistodeau, passed unanimously. Lynn Stodola appeared before the Board to request a street light on Co. #39 at the entrance to the service road to the Tom Thumb Store. Motion by William Schulz that Elk River Municipal Utilities be requested to install at the intersection. Seconded by Lloyd Beaudry, passed unanim- ously. Martin Weber, surveyor, and Beda Iverson appeared before the Board to discuss her proposed platting of part of her land between Co.#36 and Mis- sissippi River into 6 lots of 2 or more acres each. Motion by Virginia Bistodeau that they revise their current sketch and combine the 2 southerly lots to make it a buildable lot meeting road setback and scenic river setback restrictions and add another lot at the north end to make 6 buildable lots. Seconded by William Schulz, passed unanimously. Betty Adkins reported that the Planning Commission had denied the request of Gus Jones to subdivide a 4.3 acre lot in Walesch Estates. Betty Adkins reported she attended a meeting in St.Paul at which Lily Pond Lane Park site was discussed. The D.N.R. and Mike Schmidt of the Great River Road project were at the meeting. The D.N.R. has an opt- ion to buy the land and the Great River Road project wants the land as a park site. There is a covenant in the Island View Development which says that land must be used for one family dwellings. This would have to be removed by peaceful condemnation before the County could purchase the site for a Great River Road Park site. On motion, the meeting adjourned. Attest:
