Town of Otsego Beaudry, Chairman, Virginia Bistodeau, William
Schulz, Supervisors, Betty Adkins, Asst. Clerk,
Jerome Perrault, Clerk were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lloyd Beaudry. The
minutes of the June 2, 1980 town board meeting were approved as read.
Ken Ashfelt appeared before the Board to give a progress report
on Vasseur's 1st and 2nd Additions blacktop project. Work has com-
menced but was held up by rain and equipment breakdown. He felt they
would be done well ahead of the Sept. 1 completion date.
The fire contract with the city of Elk River was reviewed again.
The city did not agree with the revision requested by the town board
in that the city was requested to bill the State of Minn. for fires
occurring on State Highways in the township within 30 days of occur-
ence or the township would not be liable.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to accept the contract with the city
of Elk River as presented. Seconded by Lloyd Beaudry, passes unanimously.
The town board discussed the gravel removal production tax bill
passed by the 1979-1980 legislature. The tax is not mandatory. The
town board went on record as opposed to this tax and wishes to advise
the Wright Co. Commissioners of their opposition.
Motion by William Schulz to advertise for bids on a new truck.
Seconded by Virginia Bistodeau, passed unanimously.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
