County of Wright 7th day of July, 1980, at 8:00 p.m. Lloyd
Town of Otsego Beaudry, Chairman, Virginia Bistodeau, William
Schulz, Supervisors, Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer,
Betty Adkins, Asst. Clerk, Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present.
Meeting was called to order by Lloyd Beaudry, Chairman. Minutes
of the June 16 town board meeting were approved as read.
Pete Raatikka, engineer, presented plans) and specifications for
blacktopping the streets in Mississippi Shores 1st and 2nd Additions.
All streets will be of 7 ton design with 22 ft. wide mats. All drive-
ways will have 1 ft. aprons.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to approve the plans and specifications
and to advertise for bids on the project, the bids to be received on
or before July 21, 1980 at 10:00 a.m., with the bids to be opened at
10:00 a.m. on that day. Motion seconded by William Schulz, passed
unanimously.
Contract between Consulting Engineers Diversified and the town of
Otsego for their services was reviewed. Attorney Bill Radzwill as-
sisted the Town Board in reviewing the contract.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to accept the contract for professional
engineering services with Consulting Engineers Diversified, Inc. for
the Mississippi Shores 1st and 2nd Addition blacktop project. Seconded
by William Schulz, passed unanimously.
Thomas Klein appeared before the Board to apply for a variance to
permit him to place a mobile home on his lot temperarily for 11/2 to 2
years while he builds a home.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to approve the variance application.
Seconded by Lloyd Beaudry, passed unanimously.
Dennis Steigler appeared before the Board to discuss building up
the road in Praughts in Sec. 14, Range 24. The road is not a township
road and would have to be done on assessment basis. Dennis Steigler
agreed to circulate a petition to request the Board build up the road.
Laurence Milstroh appeared before the Board to apply for an "On
and Off" sale license to sell non -intoxicating malt liquor at the
Tavern on Nashua Ave. and Co. 39 and for a set-up license.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to approve both licenses. Seconded by
William Schulz, passed unanimously.
Ken Ashfelt appeared before the Board to give a progress report on
Vasseurs 1 st and 2nd Addition blacktop project. He said the first
sub -contractor hired for grading up the streets had been fired and
Meinrad Daleiden has been hired. He thought the graveling should be
done by the end of July.
Eugene Martin appeared before the Board to request rezoning 15
acres from A-2 to R-2. The Board advised him to present his plans to
the Otsego Planning Commission.
Pete Merges appeared before the Board to discuss assessor salary
for the coming assessing year. The Board proposed a salary of $5000.00
for the coming assessment year of August 1, 1980 to August 1, 1981, with
an additional fee of $25.00 for each new home added during the year.
Pete Merges agreed to the proposal.

Motion by William Schula to pay Rete Merges a salary of $5,000.00
plus $25.00 for each new home added for the assessment year from Aug. 1,
1980 to Aug. 1, 1981, subject to yearly reviewal. Seconded by Lloyd
Beaudry, passed. unanimously.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to increase the Supervisors hourly
wage rate from $4.00 per hour to $5.50 per hour effective June 1, 1980.
The Treasurer gave the following report for the month of June.
