County of Wright day of January at 8:00 p.m. Lloyd Bea-udry, Chairman
Town of Otsego Virginia Bistodeau and William Schulz, Supervisors,
Betty Adkins, Asst. Clerk, and Jerome Perrault, Cl
were present. Meeting was called to order by Chairman Lloyd Beaudry.
Minutes of the January 5, 1981 town board meeting were approved
as read.
Hiring of a CETA employee was discussed. Betty Adkins advised the
board that the CETA office in St. Cloud will advertise for an employee
if the board wishes. The CETA office suggested a startomg wage of
$3.80 per homy,-
Motion by William Schulz to have the CETA Office proceed with ad-
vertising for an imployee at a starting salary of $3.80 per hour.
Seconded by Virginia Bistodeau, passed unanicously.
William Schulz reported he had attended a meeting at the Monticello
Town Hall in January. Also in attendance were the Town Boards of Monti-
cello Township and Frankfort Township. The meeting was hald to discuss
mutual problems of the 3 neighboring townships.
The Board discussed adopting a new policy for paying for Fire
Dept. calls in the Township because of the rising costs of contract
fees with the' cities provideng service to the township. Under the pre-
sent policy the township pays for fire calls and then bills the property
owner for 25% of the cost of the fire call. In the case of grass fires
and car fires, the property owners are billed for 100% of the cost of
the fire call. If a second fire department is called for a fire, the
property owner is billed for 100% of the cost of the second Fire Dept.
called. The town board will discuss a new policy at their next Board
Meeting. The new policy will be presented to the township residents
as the Annual Town Meeting.
