Town of Otsego William Schulz and Virginia Bistodeau Supervisors
Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer, Jerome Perrault, Clerk,
Betty Adkins, Assistant Clerk, were present.
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Lloyd Beaudry. Minutes
of the Feb. 17, 1981 town board meeting approved as read.
Harry Niesen appeared before the Board to request that the Town-
ship road from the railroad tracks south to Co. 37 (Jaber)Av.) a dis-
tance of approximately 3/4 of a mile, be repaired or rebuilt.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry that the board view the road and see what
repairs are needed. Seconded by William Schulz. Lloyd Beaudry and
William Schulz voted yes, Virginia Bistodeau voted no, motion passed.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to present a budget request of
$124,000. Road and Bridge, $12,000.Revenue Fund, $14,000.00 Fire Fund,
to the voters at the Annual Town Meeting for approval. Seconded by
Lloyd Beaudry, passed unanimously.
Betty Adkins, Assistant Clerk, wage contract for the coming fiscal
year was discussed. Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to give Betty Adkins a
10% increase in pay (from $6.00 to $6.60 per hr.) one week, 24hrs. paid
vacation, and 4 paid holidays, New Years Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving
and Christmas. Seconded by William Schulz. Passed unanimously.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to pay the clerk $100.00 per month
plus $35.00 per meeting for all meetings attended each month in ad-
dition to the first meeting of the month. Seconded by Lloyd Beaudry
passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to increase the Treasurers salary from
$50.00 to $55.00 per month. Seconded by Firginia Bistodeau, passed unanim.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau toleave the Deputy Constable wages at
$16.00 per meetings attended. Seconded by William Schulz, passed unanim.
Motion by Virginia Bistodeau to leave the Judge -)of Election pay at
$3.50 per hr. Seconded by William Schula, passed unanimously.
Notion by Virginia Bistodeau to increase Gordon DeMars wages from
$5.50 to $6.05 per hour,as assistant road maintenance man. Seconded
by Lloyd Beaudry, passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to raise Road Maintenance Ed Greninger's
wages from $8.85 to $9.65 per hour, 2 weeks paid vacation, 4 paid holi-
days and Medical Insurance Coverage at $250.00 per quarter, ($1,000.)
per year. Seconded by Lloyd Beaudry, passed unanimously.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to request Ed Greninger to order 48 ft.
of 4 ft. culvert from Elk River Concrete Products Co. Seconded by
Virginia Bistodeau, passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to raile the mileage rate from .18 to
.21 per mile for all officials and employees of the township. Seconded
by Virginia Bistodeau, passed unanimously.
The Town Board reviewed the new contract for dog patrol services
received from Blaine Midway All Pets. The new contract calls for service
fees of Regular patrol service: $15.00 per hour for one vehicle per hour.
Extra Service: $17.50 per hour, one vehicle and up to two persons.
Boarding fee: $4.00 per hour. Impounding fee not specified. Disposal
fee: none. The contract will be for 2 yrs., 1981 and 1982. Motion by
Lloyd Beaudry to accept the contract, seconded by William Schulz, passed
unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit the Town Board Audited and allowed
verified accounts Nos. 1 to 36 inclusive. On motion meeting adjourned.
