04-20-1981 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this 20th
County of Wright day of April 1981 at 8:00 p.m. William Schulz,
Town of Otsego Chairman, Lloyd Beaudry and Douglas Lindenfelser,
Supervisors, Betty Adkins, Assistant Clerk, Jerome
Perrault, Clerk were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz. The
minutes of the April 6, 1981 Town Board meeting were approved as read.
A petition was received from Steve, Larry, Lawrence and Lucille
Kolles requesting the Township to establish a township road into a
7 acre tract of land they own that is landlocked and has no access to
any highway or road. The land is described as follows:
That part of the West z of the NW of Sec. 34, Township 121, Range
24, lying North of. Interstate 94.
Motion made by Lloyd Beaudry to contact Gary Meyer, Attorney for
the Kolles family, to ask what type of road they wish to build and if
he was aware the township would assess the full coat of building the
road back to the Kolles's. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed
unanimously.
Bruce Rask appeared before the Board to request a conditional use
permit to establish a 2 to 2% acre building site on part of Section 16,
Township 121, Range 23 lying North of Co. 39 and West of Hylo Acres
residential development. The land is owned by his father and totals
about 35 acres.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to advise Tom Salkowski, County Zoning
Administrator, that the town board has no objections to the request
if it meets the requirements of the Co. Zoning Ordinance. Seconded by
Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
The status of the Otsego Planning Commission members whose terms
have expired was discussed. Betty Adkins has contacted Carl Swenson
and Kay DeMars. Carl Swemoon has indicated he is willing to continue
as a member and Kay DeMars has said she would prefer not to continue.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to re -appoint Carl Swenson to a four year
term expiring in August 1984. Seconded by William Schulz, passed unanim.
Betty Adkins was requested to contact Glen Benson regarding his in-
terest in serving on the Planning Commission.
Marvin Stiller has constructed a pole building without a permit.
Betty Adkins reported she had sent him a notice that he needs a permit
and has received too response from him. The Board advised her to have
Tom Salkowski, County Zoning Administrator proceed with legal action
against Mr. Stiller.
The application of Rodney Sundet, who owns Lot 9 Block 1 Beaudry's
Addition, for a variance to build a garage less than 30 ft. from side
property line was denied by the Board for lack of information as to how
close he actually Fished to build.
The Board discussed the possibility of blacktopping 80th St. from
Co. 19 West to Kadier Av. then North on Kadler Av. to 85th St. and then
West on 85th St. to the Monticello Township line. Motion by Lloyd
Beaudry to contact Pete Raatikka of Consulting Engineers, Diversified,
of Osseo, MN and request that he come to the next Board meeting to
discuss the project. On motion, the meeting adjourned.
