06-15-1981 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this 15th
County of Wright day of June 1981. William Schulz, Chairman, Lloyd
Town of Otsego Beaudry, Douglas Lindenfelser, Supervisors, Betty
Adkins, Assistant Clerk, Jerome Perrault, Clerk,
were present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz.
Minutes of the June 1, 1981 Town Board Meeting were approved as read.
Two bids were received for the sale of the 1964 Model Ford Dump
trw:k with snow plows.
Schulze Bros. of 10743 181st Av. N.W. Elk River submitted a bid
of $1125.00 .
Edward Greninger submitted a bid of '$526.00. Motion by Lloyd
Beaudry to accept the bid of Schulz Bros. providing a down payment of
at least 15% is made within 48 hours. Seconded by William Schulz,
passed unanimously.
No bids were received at this time for furnishing a new snow plow
for the Ford Truck.
Motion by William Schulz to table consideration of the purchase of
a new snow plow at this time.
Engineer Pete Raatikka of Consulting Engineers Diversified Inc.
appeared before the Board to present his feasibility study for the pro-
posed Bituminous street paving of the roads in Otsego Acres 1st and 2nd
Additions and Vasseur's Oak Grove Estates. The estimated cost of this
proposed street improvement is $112,600.00 the project is feasible and
will benefit the area served.
He proposed a 22 ft. wide bituminous top, 2 inches thick, with a
one ft. wide grass shoulders on Bach side and one foot aprons for all
driveways.
He gave the following estimated cost figures for the project:
Bituminous surfacing - 3000 ton $69,000.00
Class 5 gravel 15,000.00
Shapping 9,000.00
culverts 3,000.00
Restoration 6,000.00

102,000.00
30,600.00
Estimate project cost $132,600.00
The total units served by this project is 80 and the estimated
cost per unit is $1657.50.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser tp conduct a public hearing on the
proposed bituminous paving project of Otsego Acres 1st and 2nd Additions
and Vasseur's Oak Grove Estates and also a public hearing on the pro-
posed bituminous paving project of 80th Street West one mile from Co.
19 to Nadler Av. then North on Kadler Av. z mile to 85th Street and then
West on 85th Street one mile to the Monticello - Otsego Township line,
both hearing to be held in conjunction with the July 6, 1981 Town Board
Meeting. Seconded by Lloyd Beaudry, passed unanimously.

Mr, and Mrs, Arlyn Bajari and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Zachman appear-
ed before the Board to discuss the proposed road that the Town Board
has been petitioned to build by Lawrence Kolles and sons, Larry and
Steve, to a land locked seven acre tract woned by them. The road would
be fuilt along the line between the land owned by the Bajari and Zach-
mans. Both expressed the opinion they are opposed to the road and
would not be benefitted by it.
Gary Meyer, Attorney for the Kolles's then appeared before the Board.
the Board advised him that all expenses incurred constructing the road
including right-of-way costs, would be the responsibility of the Kolles's.
The Board suggested that a survey be made to determine the actual amount
of land in the tract and also a perculation test be made to determine if
it is a usable lot for building so as to determine if it is worth build-
ing a road.
Rand Patton appeared before the Board to discuss a driveway on his
property that was not completed to his satisfaction when 80th Street
was rebuilt in 1980.
Motion by Lloyd Beaudry to hire Andrew Merges to repair the drive-
way, seconded by William Schulz,passed unanimously.
