03-01-1982 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the town of Otsego met this
County of Wright 1st day of March, 1982 at 8:00 p.m. William
Town of Otsego Schulz, Chairman, Lloyd Beaudry and Douglas
Lindenfelser, Supervisors, Betty Adkins, Deputy
Clerk, Jerome Perrault, Clerk, and Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer were pre-
sent.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz.
Minutes of the February 22, 1982 Town Board meeting were approved
as read.
Donna Voght appeared before the Board to discuss the blacktopping
of the streets in Great River Acres. She would like the Board to
hold another hearing on the project as •she thought a lot of residents
of the Great River Acres area who favored the project were not present
when the blacktopping project was turned down by the residents at a
hearing last year.
Motion by William Schulz to request Engineer Pete Raatikka to be
at the next Board meeting to discuss the project of blacktopping the
streets in Great River Acres and the project cost. Seconded by Lloyd
Beaudry, passed unanimously.
After reviewing the project cost figures with Mr. Raatikka, the
Board will decide whether to have another hearing on the project or
not.
Harry Niesen appreared before the Board to ask when the Board
intended to rebuild the road where he lives. (Monticello - Otsego
town line road from Co. #17 to the railroad tracks). He complained
that in places the road was lower than the fields and that the farm-
ers were plowing up the ditches. The Board agreed to view the road
in the spring and see what needs to be repaired.
Motion by William Schulz to re -appoint Larry Fournier to the
Otsego Planning Commission for a 4 year term. Seconded by Lloyd
Beaudry, passed unanimously.
The Town Board will submit the following Budget to the voters
at the Annual Town Meeting for their approval.
Road and Bridge Fund - $144,000.00
Revenue Fund - 12,000.00
Fire Fund - 14,000.00
TOTAL $170,000.00
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and
allowed verified accounts Nos. 1 to 34 inclusive.
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
