Town of Otsego Schulz, Chairman, Douglas Lindenfelser, Super-
visor, Floyd Roden, newly elected Supervisor,
Betty Adkins, Deputy Clerk, Jerome Perrault, Clerk were present,
The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz. The
minutes of the March 1, 1982 Town Board Meeting were approved as read.
Floyd Roden took his oath of office as Supervisor, Vernon Morrell
took his oath of office as Deputy Constable,
William Schulz was re-elected Chiarman of the Board for the en-
suing year.
Elizabeth Kepka appeared before the Board to present her Plans
for selling the 48 acres tract of her parents farm lying south of Co
#19 and retain the 12 acres lying north of Co. #39 which contains the
building site,
The Board will request Mrs. Kenka to Present her nlans to the
Otsego Planning Commission for their considration,
William Schulz presented a notice he had received from the Wright
County Human Services Agency that they are in the process of Licensing
Beverly and Kenneth Kolstad as a home for day care for un to 10 pre-
school children. They reside at 14340 NE 89th Street, Elk River, MN,
Engineer Pete Raatikka aneared before the Board to discuss the
blacktopping of the streets in Great River Acres. The assesment ner
lot was in excess of $2100.00. The Board discussed some of the options
they could consider to reduce the cost of the project. The Board dis-
cussed reducing the width of the mat to 20 feet but because of prob-
able higher maintenance costs decided to stay with a 22 foot mat. The
Board will consider paying for half the cost of blacktopping the service
road along Co.#39. The Board requested Pete Raatikka to contact the
Wright County Engineer to see if the County would consider allowing
Nelmark avenue and Ochua avenue to enter directly onto Co. #39. If
this were possible, the Board would then have the option of not black-
topping the service roads. a public hearing on the project will he
held April 19, 1982, at 8:00 p.m.
Motion by William Schulz to have Engineer Pete Raatikka complete
a set of specifications to be used as a standard road construction
basis for the township. (i.e. road width, mat width, shoulder width,
ect.) Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to table consideration of donating Town-
ship funds to the County Historical Society at this time. Seconded
by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
On the motion the meeting adjourned.
