12-06-1982 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County od Wright 6th day of December, 1982, at 8:00 p.m. William Town of Otsego Schulz, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Floyd Roden, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; Jerome Perrault, Clerk; and Lewis Pouliot, treasurer; were present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz. The minutes of the November 15, 1982 meeting were approved as read. Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer, gave the following treasurer report for the month of November: Receipts - Bond Fund $ 5,177.28 - General " $19,244.70 Disbursements - $21,434.94 Balance - $23,682.68 John Darkenwald appeared before the Board to request a Conditional Use Permit to build a commercial building at the corner (S.E.) of the intersection of Co. #36 and Highway #101. The plans for the building are a 3600 sq ft grocery store and a 2400 sq ft "Off Sale" Liquor store. The Board advised Mr. Darkenwald that the Board had issued one "Off Sale" Liquore License and at the present time were not considering any other applications. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the request of John Darekenwald for a conditional use permit to construct a building. Se- conded by William Schulz, passed unanimously. A setback variance for the building will be needed along Co. ##36. Frank McCoy appeared before the Board requesting a variance to subdivide his farm, located in Section 27, Township 121, Range 23, on the north side of Co. #122, in an agricultural area. He wishes to sell 29.87 acres of land with the exsisting buildings and keep 35.42 acres on which he intends to build a new house. Motion by William Schulz to table action on the variance request of Mr. McCoy at this time and give it further consideration. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Gilbert Darkenwald appeared before the Board to request a variance to construct an advertising sign larger than the 12 sq ft allowed by the Wright County Ordinance. He wishes to construct a 64 sq ft sign at the N.E. corner of the junction of Co. #36 and Highway #101. The area is zoned agricultural. The sign has already been constructed. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the sign variance. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Merle Brisbin appeared before the Board to request a variance to construct a pole building larger than the 800 sq ft allowed by the Wright county ordinance in a R-1 residential area. He wishes to con- struct a 1200 sq ft building. He is located on lot 2, block 4, Deer- field acres. Motion by William Schulz to approve the variance request of Merle Brisbin to construct a 1200 sq ft pole building. David Reemts appeared before the Board at their request to dis- cuss his feedlot operation. He has a 10 acre site he operates as a feedlot. The land is located next to a creek that empties into the Mississippi River. The Town Board requested Mr. Reemts to apply for a feedlot permit from the pollution control agency. The Board approved the request of Earl Eull, to build a second house on his farm. He owns 100 acres in Section 24, Township 121, Range 24. County of Wright Page 2 Town of Otsego The application of David Boggs for an advertising sign larger than allowed by the Wright County Ordinance was considered by the Town Board. The sign has already been constructed. The property is located in the E1/2 of the NE1/2 of the NE4 of Section 35, Township 121 Range, 23, and is known as the Midwest Training Center. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the request for the sign by Mr. Boggs. Seconded by Floyd Roden. Douglas Lindenfelser and Floyd Roden voted in favor of the motion, William Schulz voted no. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser not to install street lights in the residential ares of the Township at this time. Motion seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Motion by William Schulz to approve of Deputy Clerk, Lani Will, to attend the General Session of the 27th Annual Institute for Building Officals at the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus, and to pay her tuition of $30. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board auditied and allowed verified account Nos. 336 to 419 inclusive. On motion, the meeting adjourned.
