County of Wright 3rd day of January, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. William
Town of Otsego Schulz, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Floyd
Roden, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk, and
Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present.
The Meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz. The
minutes of the December 20, 1982 Town Board meeting were approved as read.
Frank McCoy appeared before the Board concerning his application
for a variance to subdivide his farm. He was requested to attend the
January 17, 1983 Town -rd meeting.
The Board discussed the request of Daniel Boggs for a variance to
construct an advertising sign larger than allowed by the Wright County
Ordinance. A hearing on the application will be held by the Wright
County Board of Adjustment on January 14, 1983. The sign already has
been constructed. Mr. Boggs was advised that he needed a variance be-
fore the sign is contrcuted, it was determined that the sign was con-
structed before he applied for the variance. It was only after the
County advised him they would take legal action to have the sign removed
that he applied for the variance. The Board expressed concern that they
would be setting a precendent for others to follow if the variance was
approved at this late date.
William Schulz advised the Board that as of January 5 1983, Blaine
Midway All Pets, Inc. will no longer be serving the Township for Dog
Control. He has talked to Gwen teman of Monticello and she would be
interested in serving the Township as Dog Catcher. She charges 8.25
dollars per hour and .25 cents per mile. The Board will request her to
meet with them at the January 17, 1983 Town •=rd meeting to discuss her
serving the Township as Dog Catcher.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed
verified accounts Nos. 420 to 452, inclusive.
