The meeting was called to order by Chairman William Schulz. The
minutes of the February 7, 1983 Town Board meeting were approved as

The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this
1st day of March, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. William
Schulz, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and
Floyd Roden, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy
Pouiliot, Treasurer, and Jerome Perrault, Clerk were
William Schulz advised the Board that Wayne Hillukke will appear
at the next Town Board meeting on March 21, 1983.
No reply has been received from Mark Posley regarding the com-
plaint filed against him regarding junk cars in his yard.
The following people have submitted applications for the position
of Dog Catcher for the Town of Otsego:
Judy Peterson - 8384 Parrish Avenue, Elk River, MN
David J Cecka - 13857 NE 95th Street, Elk River, MN
Weaver W Curtis - 7792 Odell Avenue, Elk River, MN
Rosemary Wokson - 6015 Highway #101, Elk River, MN
Allen Charles Zabel - 8013 Needham Avenue, Elk River, MN
Lori Kathryn Carlson - 9368 Nashua Avenue, Elk River, MN
It will be necessary to have a signed contract with the person
hired as Dog Catcher. Some of the stipulations in the contract will
be:
The person hired as Dog Catcher will provide their own vehicle,
properly insured; they will carry their own property damage and lia-
bility insurance and injury to themselves while performing their
duties; Dogs are to be delivered to the Monticello Dog Pound; Records
are to be kept of dogs picked up and TownOffical or Town Hall Office
should be notified within 24 hours of dogs that are picked up; Dog
Catcher should notify a Town Offical if they are to be out of town or
unavailable for more than 24 hours; two weeks notice be given if they
wish to terminate their position.
Motion by William Schulz to make the starting salary for the Dog
Catcher position $4.50 per hour and $.21 per mile.
Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
A decision on hiring the Dog Catcher will be made at the March
21,1983 Town Board Meeting.
Employee contract were reviewed at this time for the coming fis-
cal year.
Gordon DeMars contract calls for $6.25 per hour, paid legal hol-
idays, one week (20 hours) paid vacation, workman's compensation,
P.E.R.A. and Social Security coverage. He works alternate weeks for
the Town of Otsego and the City of St. Michael.
Motion by William Schulz to keep this contract the same for the
coming fiscal year. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Edward Greningers contract calls for $9.80 per hour, 3 weeks
paid vacation, Four paid holidays (New Years, Fourth of July, Thanks-
giving and Christmas) workmans compernsation and P.E.R.A coverage,
and $1,000.00 per year medical and hospital ization insurance coverage.
Motion by Floyd Roden to increase the medical and hospitalization
insurance benefit $40.00 per quarter to $290.00 per quarter and $1,160.
.00 yearly and to keep the rest of the contract as is for the comming
fiscal year. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.

Lani Will's contract was discussed. She is being paid $4.50
per hour at present.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to leave the wage rate at $4.50
per hour, with 4 paid vacation days, 4 paid holidays (New Years,
Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and christmas) a 24 hour week, Monday
thru Thursday plus meetings, workman's compensation, Social Secur-
ity, and P.E.R.A coverage. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
This contract will be reveiwed on July 1, 1983.
Clerk contract calls for $140.00 per month base pay, plus $35.00
per meeting for any special meetings called.
Motion by William Schulz to keep this contract the same for the
coming year. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Treasurer's contract calls for a wage of $65.00 per month.
Motion by William Schulz to keep this contract the same for the coming
fiscal year. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to keep the Deputy Constable wage at
$16.00 per meeting. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
The County Planning Commission requested the Town Boards opinion
of a proposed amendment to the County Ordinance that would permit bulk
storage of petroleum products any where in agricultural zoned land.
The Board felt that further study should be made on the subject
and will reach a decision at the next Board meeting on March 21, 1983.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board reviewed and
audited the books of the treasurer and clerk.
Preceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and al-
lowed verified accounts Nos. 1 to 24, inclusive.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
