County of Wright 4th day of April, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd
Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; William Schulz and Douglas
Lindenfelser, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot,
Treasurer; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were
present.
The meeting was called to order by Ohairman Floyd Roden. The
minutes of the March 21, 1983 Town Board meeting were approved as
read.
Girl Scout Troop #463 gave a flag presentation ceremony at the
start of the meeting.
Lewis Pouliot took his oath of office as Treasurer of the Town
of Otsego.
Mr. Eugene Yahnkee appeared before the Board in regards to his
request to subdivide his 30 acre tract into 2 lots. The Wright
County Ordinance requires that the land be rezoned from agricultural
to residential in order to divide it. This does not comply with the
Township's Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Yahnkee appeared at a meeting of
the Wright County Planning Commission on March 31, 1983, and his
request was turned down. He requested the opinion of the Town Board
as to what was necessary to get approval of his request.
Motion by William Schulz to contact Mr. Tom Salkowski regarding
the request of Mr. Yahnkee to see if a work able solution can be
found. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Perry Dahl appeared before the Board to request a permit to
place a home on 12 to 2 acres he will be buying from his father-in-
law's farm. (Kenneth Davis). The Board advised him that they see
no problem with his request, and advised him to meet with the Otsego
Planning Commission on April 7th, 1983 for their consideration, and
to contact Tom Salkowski regarding site location requirements.
Basil Schillewaert appeared before the Board regarding his re-
placement on the Wright County Township Officers Association Board
for his Commissioner District. He resigned the position following
his election to the County Commissioner position. He would like to
see someone from Otsego to represent the 2nd Commissioner District
on the Wright County Township Officers Association Board. The repre-
sentative will be elected at the meeting of the Wright County Town-
ship Officers Association on Thursday, April 7, 1983.
Motion by William Schulz to pay the city of Elk River for the
1982 Fire Contract dues for the sum of $3,037.38 based on 1981 asses-
sed valuation of $8,037,376 for:the area served by the city of Elk
River. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to sign the 1983 Fire Contract
with the city of Elk River based on a per -run and first half-hour
charge of $225.00 and $75.00 per half-hour for each additional half-
hour. Seconded by William Schulz, passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to bond Treasurer Lewis Pouliot for
$20,000.00. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and al-
lowed verified accounts Nos. 25 to 81, inclusive.
On Motion, the meeting adjourned.
