05-02-1983 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 2nd day of May, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and William Schulz, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; Lewis Pouliot, Tresurer; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk; were present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The minutes of the April 18, 1983, Town Board meeting were approved as read. Don Goth appeared before the Board to discuss a drainage pro- blem in the Township road ditch in front of his lot (Lot 5, Block 5, Walesch Estates, 2nd Addition, 7761 NE O'Brian Avenue). The ditch along the road is not taking the water away. The Board ad- vised him they will come out and inspect the ditch. David Cecka appeared before the Board and officially signed a contract with the Town Board to serve as Dogcatcher for the Town- ship. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to levy a fine of $10.00 for the first time offense of having a dog running at large and picked up before the dog will be released, $25.00 fine for the 2nd offense and a $50.00 fine for the third offense. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Glen Lindenfelser appeared before the Board to discuss the drainage problem on his lot located on Service Road adjacent to Co. #19 in Section 25, Township 121, Range 24. The Board advised him that Meinrad Dalieden will install a culvert under the service road and clean out the ditch along the service road. Mr. Rodney Sundat, a neighbor of Mr. Lindenfelser, also appeared to discuss the drainage problem by his lot as his driveway culvert is blocked. His driveway culvert is small and was in place when he purchased the home. He requested the Township to replace the culvert but the Board advised him it was not the Township policy to provide drive- way culverts. Motion by William Schulz to install a culvert under the service road (size needed to be determined before installation) clean out the ditch, clean out the culvert under Mr. Sundet's driveway, or install a new culvert if he wishes to furnish one. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Darwin Courteau appeared before the Board to discuss the rough condition of 65th Street, Quale Avenue and 61st Street. He inquired if Black Magic could be placed on the road to help smooth it out. The Board replied they did not feel Black Magic would be the answer. The Board agreed to see what repairs are needed. Pete Raatikka appeared before the Board to discuss the repair of 62nd Lane. It will be necessary to get a letter of consent from Al Schwab permitting the Township to drain the water away from the road across his lot. Motion by William Schulz to place a 1" to 2" bitunimous over- lay to repair the surface of 62nd Lane. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Mr. Raatikka will get an estimate of the cost of applying the overlay and will secure the letter of consent from Mr. Schwab. State of Minnesota Meeting of May 2, 1983, continued. County of Wright Page 2. Town of Otsego Mr. Bullock appeared before the Board to see what progress had been made about cleaning up the lots of Mark Posley and Ronald Webber. Mark Posley has agreed to remove one car and the other has a current license. Mr. Salkowski has advised the Board that there is nothing in the Wright County Ordinance that can be implemented to force Mr. Posley to repair his well. William Schulz suggested that Lani Will contact the Wright County Health Nurse to see if there were any violations of Health Department standards that could be implemented to cause Mr. Posley to have his well be repaired to operating condition. Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board auditied and allowed verified accounts Nos. 82 to 124, inclusive. On motion, the meeting adjourned. Attest:
