County of Wright 15th day of August, 1983, at 8:30 p.m. Floyd
Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and
William Schulz, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy
Clerk; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were
present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The
minutes of the August 1, 1983, Town Board meeting were approved as
read.
Gilbert Darkenwald appeared to request a permit to move a house
and garage onto a 13.9 acre parcel he owns in Section 22, Range 23
(the North 393 ft of the West 13.3 rods of lot 3 and the North 393
ft of the NE 4 of the SEk of Section 22, Range 23) . He showed pictures
of the house he intends to move to the Town Board.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to grant Gilbert Darkenwald a
permit to move a house and garage onto a 13.9 acre parcel. Seconded
by William Schulz, passed unanimously.:
The Town Board discussed the rate the Township is charging for
mowing weeds with Township equipment for private parties. The present
rate is $25.00 per hour for man, tractor and mower.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to raise the rate for mowing to
$35.00 per hour for man, tractor and mower, retro -active to June 1,
1983. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to raise the building permit fee from
$15.00 to $30.00 for accessory use permits. Seconded by Douglas
Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
A resident of Otsego Acres inquired as to when the road shoulder
would be repaired in Otsego Acres. The Board replied that Buffalo
Bituminous, Inc. (the contractor that did the bituminous road surfacing
project in Otsego Acres) had agreed to furnish the black dirt to re-
pair the shoulder but the material they provided was unsatisfactory
so the Township will secure the black dirt themselves and complete
the project as soon as work schedule permits.
The Town Board will table action on paying the balance due on
the 1981 Fire Contract with the City of ElkRiver until Lani Will
can obtain the figures on the 1980 Assessment payable in 1981. Lani
Will will also review the assessed valuation figures for the area
served by the Monticello and Albertville Fire Departments.
The Board discussed with Pete Raatikka the overlay project to
repair 62nd Lane. The Board will clean out the exsisting culvert and
apply a 12 bituminous overlay and will delay the project until next
year unless an acceptable bid can be received for doing the project
this fall.
There are 2 mobile homes on Lot 5, Block 1, Vasseurs Oak Grove
Estates and only a permit for one mobile home. The Board will take
action to have one of the mobile homes removed. A complaint also
has been received about having horses, goats and chickens on the
above mentioned lot, also dogs running loose. The Town Board will
have the County Zoning Administrator notify the owner of the lot that
he is in violation of the County Ordinance which permits z animal
unit per acre.
Motion by William Schulz to postpone the first meeting in Sept-
ember until Tuesday, September 6, because of the Labor Day Holiday.
Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.

Town of Otsego
David Cecka appeared before the Board to say that he now has a
full time job and does not feel he has time to adequately perform
as dog catcher. The Board requested him to serve on a part time
basis until they can obtain a new dog catcher. Lani Will will send
notices to the 2 top applicants for the position to see if they are
still interested.
Motion by William Schulz to pay Robert Berning a fee of $10.00
for serving as moderator at the continuation of the Annual Town
Meeting on August 15, 1983. Seconded. by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed
verified accounts Nos. 235 to 273 inclusive.
