09-06-1983 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 6th day of September, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Will- iam Schulz, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The minutes of the August 15, 1983, Town Board meeting were approved as read. Craig Holmer appeared before the Board to request a permit (and variance) to build a garage larger than 800 sq ft. He lives on lots 4 and 5, Block 2, Halls Third Addition. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the permit and variance. of Criag Holmer to build a garage for storage purposes larger than 800 sq ft, contingent upon passing a site inspection. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Russ Welton appeared before the Board in regard to his moving in a mobile home without a permit. This mobile home was to replace one that was on the lot before. The County Inspector had red -tagged the mobile home for not having a permit. In this case the permit fee is doubled from $75.00 to $150.00. Mr. Welton is protesting the double fee because he said he was not aware that he needed a permit. Motion by Floyd Roden to charge Russ Welton a permit fee of $100.00 ($75.00 regular permit fee and $25.00 penalty for obtaining the permit late). Seconded by William Schulz, passed unanimously. Motion by William Schulz to deny Bob Lehn a permit to subdivide 10 acres of Agricultural land. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed un- animously. The Town Board received the application of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rasmussen for a permit to renovate the tavern (Barbies Cozy Corner) into a home. The tavernis located at the N.W. corner of the inter- section of Co. Rd. #39 and Nashua Avenue, on lot 5, Block 75 of the Otsego Township Townsite, Section. 17, Range 23. Richard Savitski has applied for a variance to build a pole building Larger than 800 sq ft (1200 sq ft) and a variance for a side yard setback of less than 10 ft (5 ft). He lives on lot 5, block 1, Halls Third Addition. Motion by William Schulz to deny the request until a site inspec- tion can be made. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Pete Raatikka appeared before the Board in regards to the 12" bituminous overlay and tack coat for 62nd lane. He has received 5 bids for the project. Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. $2475.00 H. L. Johnson Co. $3150.00 C. & S. Blacktopping $3217.50 Omann Construction Co. $3595.00 H. &. S. Asphalt Co. $3712.50 Mr. Raatikkarecommends tha the bid of Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. be accepted. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to accept the bid of Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. to apply a 12" overlay and tack coat on 62nd Lane. Seconded by William Schulz, passed unanimously.
