10-17-1983 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town. Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 17th day of Octobert, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Will- iam Schulz, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The minutes of the October 3, 1983, Town Board meeting were approved as read. Kathy Rasmussen didnot appear at the meeting as she is still �� working on the problems encountered in converting "Barbies Cozy Corner tavern into a home. Gilbert Darkenwald appeared to request a permit to move a house onto Government lot #4, Section 23, Township 121, a six acre tract. Motion by William Schulz to grant Gilbert Darkenwald a conditional use permit to move a house onto Government lot #4, Section 23, Township 121, a six acre tract. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed un- animously. n®animously. Alfred and Paul Barthel appeared to request a one acre lot be established on a 100 acre farm they own in Section 26, Range 24 in addition to the present building site. The present house and 22 acres will be owned by Joe Barthel, a member of the family partnership, and the remainder of the farm will be owned by the family partnership. A road frontage variance is needed for the present home as it has 170 foot frontage instead of 200 feet as required by the County Ordinance. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the request of Alfred and Paul Barthel for a "one per forty" break to establish a second home site (1 acre) on their farm in Section 26, Range 24 (contingent upon approval of the Otsego Planning Commission). Seconded by William Schulz, Passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the request of Alfred and Paul Barthel for a road frontage variance of less than 200 feet (170 feet) for the exsisting house on the farm they own in Section 26, Range 24. Charles Axelson appeared to be interviewed for the position of Dog Catcher for the town of Otsego. He is employed but his wife will assist him with the Dog Catcher position. He has a kennel on his farm for temporary use, up to 24 hours. The pay rate is $4.50 per hour plus mileage at the rate of $.23 per mile. The contract and pay scale will be reviewed on January 2, 1984. Motion by William Schulz to hire Charles Axleson as Dog Catcher for the town of Otsego. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed un- animously. A resident of Otsego Township, who lives at O'Brian Avenue and 90th Street, appeared to complain about 2 culverts that have been a- bandoned by the road side and are being used as a hang-out for kids. The Town Board requested Lani Will to attemp to contact Dave Peterson, the owner of the culvert, to request him to have them removed by Nov. 1, 1983, otherwise the Town Board will take action to have the cul- verts removed.
