Counyt of Wright 5th day of December, 1983, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd
Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Will-
iam Schulz, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy
Clerk; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk; were
present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The
minutes of the November 21, 1983, Town Board meeting were approved
as read.
Jeff Christian appeared to present his plans for the meeting
building to be built by the Alano Society. He has presented his plans
to the Otsego Planning Commission and they gave their approval pro-
viding it meets requirements for a Conditional Use Permit. The build-
ing is proposed to be built on Block 1, Lot 4, Great River Acres 1st
addition.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve a Conditional Use
Permit for the Alano Society to construct a building to be used as
a meeting place for the society. Seconded by William Schulz, passed
unanimously.
Motion by William Schulz to sign a contract with the City of
Monticello permitting the Township to use the City of Monticello
Dog6Pound facilities at a rate of $4.00 per day boarding fee and a
diffosal fee of $4.00 per animal. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser,
passed unanimously.
Dogs will be admitted only if brought in by the Otsego Dog Catcher,
Town Board Members, or the County Sheriff.
Motion by William Schulz to sell the Town Hall suspended ceiling
furnace for $150.00. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed un-
animously.
Motion by Floyd Roden to pay Andrew Merges for attending Assessor
School for 24 hours plus a $15.00 tuition fee. Seconded by Douglas
Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Andrew Merges appeared before the Board to discuss his salary
for the coming 1983-84 assessment year. He said that most assessors
are now paid on a per parcel basis instead of a per hour or flat rate.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to pay Andrew Merges a fee of
$3.50 per parcel assessed for the coming assessment year to be paid
on 1717 parcels at a rate of 5 installments of $1,000.00 each and a
final installment of $1,009.50 when the work is completed. Seconded
by William Schulz, passed unanimously.
Motion by Floyd Roden to pay Andrew Merges $6.00 per hour for
attending Assessor School. Seconded by William Schulz, passed unan-
imously.
Proceeding as a board of audit, the Town Board audited and al-
lowed verified accounts Numbers 340 to 375 inclusive.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
