11-19-1984 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 19 day of November, 1984, at 8:00 p.m. Douglas Town )of Otsego Lindenfelser, Chairman; Norman Freske and Floyd Roden, Supervisors; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Douglas Lindenfelser. The minutes of the November 5, 1984, Town Board meeting were approved as read. Tom Corbin appeared before the Board to request a setback var- iance of less than 130 feet from a County Highway (80 feet). He wishes to build a garage and machine shed with an 80 foot setback from County Road 37. The exsisting building on his farm are closer than 80 feet from the highway. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the setback variance request of Tom Corbin to build a garage and machine shed with a setback of less than 130 feet (80 feet) from County Road 37. Seconded by Doug Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Mrs McAlpine, representing David Boggs, appeared before the Board to request a permit to put in a mobile home as a farm accessory on the David Boggs horse farm. The mobile home will be used for an employee to live in. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve a permit for a mobile home as a, farm accessory for David Boggs. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Sharon Jirava of 8359 Oakwood Avenue appeared before the Board to complain about the messy lot across the street from her owned by John Karnes and also about the lot owned by Clifford Kelso, and a lot on the corner of 85th and Oakwood. She said these lots are an eyesore and spoil the looks of the neighborhood. The Board said they will check with Lani Will to see if they have been sent a letter of notification to clean up their lots and if they haven't already, will proceed to send a letter to them. at 9;00 p.m. a Public Hearing was held on an Ordinance to grant Minnegasco a non-exclusive franchise to construct, operate, repair and maintain facilities and equipment for the transportation, distrib- ution, manufacture and the sale of gas energy within the Town. James Anderson was present at the Hearing representing Minnegasco Company. At the present time, Minnegasco is supplying gas energy for the Riverbend Mobile Home Park. The Board inquired if they intend to expand their service in the Township. Mr. Anderson replied that at the present they do not plan on any expansion as they are regulated by state law to provide customer service only in areas where lots are 100 feet or closer apart. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve an Ordinance granting Minne- gasco Company a non-exclusive franchise to construct, operate, repair, and maintain facilitites and equipment for the transportation, dis- tribution, manufacture and sale of gas energy within the Town of Otsego.
