County of Wright 21 day of January, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. Douglas
Town of Otsego Lindenfelser, Chairman; Floyd Roden and Norman
Freske, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer;
Lani Will, Deputy Clerk: and Jerome Perrault. Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Douglas Lindenfelser.
Minutes of the January 7, 1985. Town Board Meeting were approved as

Jim Daniels, neneral Manager of Rite Cable Company, appeared
before the Board. He is interested in obtaining a franchise to pro-
vide cable television service to the residents of Otsego. His com-
pany has franchises to 10 communities in this area including Buffalo,
Monticello, Big Lake, Elk River, Albertville and St. Michael. His
Company operates in 4 states, Illinois, North Carolina. Florida, and
Minnesota. He said he needs a customer density of 40 per mile to
make it economically feasible to install the cable system. The Board
advised him they will do a prelimanary survey to see if the Township
residents are interested in rable T.V. and consider his request for
a franchise.
Edward Otto, surveyor from Buffalo, MN., appeared before the
Board to discuss recording the Township roads. He submitted a pro-
posal to the Town Board to record the Township roads in which he
agreed to research the legal descriptions of the exsisting recorded
r. s,field survey all roads not described and prepare legal descrip-
tions of these roads, prepare a Town Road Map. present the map and
the road descriptions at a Public Hearing, and assist in recording
the Town Road Map. The Township would be responsible for paying
for any legal assisstance required, the advertising fees for the
Public Hearing and the cost of preparing the hardshell copies of the
final Town Road Map for this proposed as submitted, his fee would be
a flat sum of $5,000.00. The Board advised they would consider his
proposal and contact him regarding their decision.
Motion by Floyd Roden to appoint James Barthel to the unexpired
term of Ron Van Tassel on the Otsego Planning Commission (to expire
in 1986). Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Residents of Otsego Acres along 88th Street appeared before the
Board to complain about water problems in their area. Some of the
lots are flooding and they don't seem to know where the water is
coming from. The Board advised them they will do a site inspection
to see if they can determine the cause and what possible solution can
be found.
