02-04-1985 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this
County of Wright 4 day of February, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. Douglas
Town of Otsego Lindenfelser, Chairman; Floyd Roden and Norman
Freske, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk;
and Jerome Perrault, Clerk were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Douglas Lindenfelser.
The minutes of the January 21, 1985 Town Board Meeting were approved
as read.
Ed Virker appeared before the Board to complain that 8 trees on
his property had been cut down by Township maintenance men. They were
small ash and maple trees. The Board advised him they will come out
in the spring and check if the trees were on his property or on the
road right-of-way.
Francis Beaudry, Mutual Service Insurance Company agent, appeared
before the Board to discuss the township insurance policies. The
Board requested that he raise the insured valuation of the Town Hall
from $30,000 to $40,000, raise the valuation of the contents of the
garage from $5,000 to $7,500, update the coverage on the Ford tractor
as it was listed on the policy as a 1966 model instead of a 1976
model, and All Risk Coverage to the Town Garage and the contents of
the garage and add insurance coverage for the tar kettle.
Audrey Balfany and Charles Axelson came before the Board to dis-
cuss the situation with the City of Monticello Dog Pound. She feels
the Township has been billed for many more dogs than she has brought
into the pound. She has made up a list of all the dogs she took to
the Pound and will meet with the Monticello City Officals to compare
her list with the billing they sent to Otsego.
Dennis Taylor, surveyor from Monticello, appeared before the
Board to discuss recording the Township roads. He submitted a pro-
posal to record the Township roads for $120.00 per mile. Roads in the
platted areas are already recorded. The fee would include making up
a map of the Township showing the roads as recorded. The Town Board
tabled action until the nextTown Board Meeting on recording of the
roads.
The Town Board requested Lani Will to contact the Rite Cable Co.
regarding the procedures of setting up a Public Hearing to consider
granting a Franchise to Rite Cable Company to install cable tv lines
in the Township.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to postpone the Town Board Meeting
scheduled for February 18, 1985, untill Monday February 25, 1985.
Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the. Town Board audited and allowed
vertified accounts numbers 505 through 543, inclusive.
