04-01-1985 Town Board MinutesStates of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 1 day of April, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd Roden, Town of Otsego Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Norman Freske, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. Don Goth appeared concerning a water problem on 78th Street and O'Brian Avenue which deadends by his lot. He would like to ditch on the other side of the road. The Town Board will go out and view the drainage problem before making a decision. Richard Hartfield appeared to complain about dogs running and doing damage in his neighborhood, 88th Street. The Board advised him to contact the Otsego Dog Catcher, Charles Axelson to see if he could pick up the dogs causing the problems. James Gerads appeared to say he had been charged for 2 lots for fire protection and he had only one lot. He bought 45 feet from his neighbor and the 45 feet has a separate description. The Board advised him that the 45 feet would not be a buildable lot by itself and the two should be considered one lot. Blanche Barsody appeared to say that she had been charged for 2 lots for fire protection. She owns three of the small Otsego Townsite lots but because of the big ditch that runs through it there is only one buildable site. The Board advised her they would check on the area. Bernard and Donna Valerius appeared to request approval of a property division. Each one is to have 55 acres of the farm. The Board requested them to appear before the Otsego Planning Commission on April 4, 1985 for their consideration. Motion by Norman Freske to adopt the following resolution: Be it resolved that the Town Board of the Town of Otsego awards the sale of $90,000 G.O. Bonds to the Bank of Elk River. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. (all voted in favor) Motion by Floyd Roden to have Lani Will send a complaint to Elmer Collette requesting him to clean .up the junk in his yard. Second- ed by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to request the Wright County Sher- iff to patrol the Town Roads to check on weight restriction violations. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Tom Corbin, Fabian Sadowski and Lawrence Vorderbrugger appeared to complain about water problems in the back part of their farm. Their farms join the the NW quarter of Section 27 Range 23. There are sev- eral housing developments near them and they seemed to think that there was a possibility that some of their water problems are caused by the housing developments. Motion by Floyd Roden to have Lani Will contact the D.N.R. to have them come out and discuss the water problems and possibly do a site inspection of some of the problem areas. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to increase Edward Greningers medical insurance from $290.00 to $315.00 per quarter, leave the paid holidays at 6, and 3 weeks paid vacation, also time and for work necessary on Sundays. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to raise Edward Greningers wages from $11.15 to $11.50 per hour for the ensuing fiscal year. State of Minnesota April 1, 1985 Town Board Meeting County of Wright Page 2 Town of Otsego Motion by Floyd Roden to pay Gordon Lefebvre $10.00 per hour for operating the road grader plowing snow. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to pay part-time road maintenance employees $7.00 per hour. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to leave the Treasurer salary at $80.00 per month for the ensuing year. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to set the Supervisor hourly rate at $7.50 per hour for the ensuing year. Seconded``: by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed vertified accounts numbers 36 to 69 inclusive. On motion the meeting adjourned.
