County of Wright 9 day of September, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd
Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Norman
Freske, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer;
Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The
minutes of the August 19, 1985, Town Board meeting were approved
as read.
Members of the Friendship Baptist Church appeared before the
Board to dicuss their plans to rent the former cabinet shop on the
N.W. corner of the junction of C.R. 39 and Nashua Avenue to be used
as their meeting place. They have met with the County Building In-
spector and have agreed to adapt the bathroom for handicapped people
and install exit lights as he requested. At present they have 20
members and there is parking space enough for 15 cars.
Motion by Norman Freske to approve the rental and use of the
building by the Friendship Baptist Mission for a period of 6 months
renewable at that time. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed
unanimously.
Gil Darkenwald and Ingall Roskaft appeared to discuss the pro-
posed semaphore signals at the inersection of Hwy 101 and C.R. 36
and 130. They recently attended a County Commissioners meeting at
which the semaphore was dicussed. The County Commissioners would
like a committment from the Town Board as to whether they would be
willing to pay a share of the cost of the semaphore and road work in-
volved. The County has $100,000.00 in funds received from the State
that could possibly be used for the semaphore signal system.
Motion by Floyd Roden to table action onthe semaphore at this
time and to make arrangements to be on the agenda of the County Com-
missioners Meeting on September 17, 1985, to discuss the semaphore
with the County Commissioners and County Engineer. Seconded by
Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Joe Ebner, who lives on Parrish Avenue in the Riverside park
area just south of the Mississippi River bridge, appeared before
the Board to request a variance to build a garage inthe flood plain
area where he lives. He wishes to replace the garage he tore down.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve a variance to grant
Joe Ebner a permit to build a garage of 800 sq ft or less in a flood
plain area. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Virgil Stackhouse of 14766 84th Street, Appeared before the
Board to request a variance to build an attached garage larger than
800 sqft (28'x40') on his lZ acre lot in Vasseurs Addition.
Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the variance request of Virgil
Stackhouse to build an attached garage larger than 800 sq ft (28' x
40'). Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Mr & Mrs Adam Hines appeared before the Board to discuss Kad-
ler Avenue, from C.R.39 to the Mississippi River. They would like
to have speed limits on the road because it is an access road to
the river. They also stated that the road is rough and dust is a
problem. They would like to see some dust control measures used
and would like to see the road bituminous paved. The Board said the
road needed to be rebuilt before being paved and that it was one
of the roads they considered to be repaired but no definite plans
have been made as yet.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve 30 mile per hour
spped limit signs and watch out for children signs on Kadler Avenue
north of C.R.39. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.

Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to re-imburse Donald Greninger
in the amount of $400.00 for ditching done on his farm to carry
water away from Kadler Avenue. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed
unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and
Allowed vertified accounts numbers 226 to 254, inclusive.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
