10-07-1985 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this
County of Wright 7 day of October, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd
Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Norman
Freske, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer;
Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The
minutes of the September 16, 1985, Twon Board meeting were approved
as read.
Karen Geisendorfer, a Pastor in the Luthern Church, appeared
before the Board to say she is interested in starting a Christ Church
in Otsego Township and she is interested in finding a place to hold
their Sunday Services. She inquired if the Town Board would be will-
ing to rent the Town Hall to her to hold their services.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to rent the Town Hall to the
Christ Church for Sunday Services for a fee of $100.00 per month
agreement subjected to renewal in one year. Seconded by Norman Freske,
passed unanimously.
Motion by Floyd Roden to adopt the following resolution:
Be it resolved that:
Whereas: Otsego Township and Wright County has received much
public support for the installation of a traffic signal system at
the junction of T.H. 101, C.R. 130 and CSAH 36, and
Whereas: A signal is currently warranted at this location, and
Whereas: there are two legs of the lintersection which involves
T.H. 101, and
Whereas: Wright County is willing to provide its share of funds
for the installation of a traffic signal at this location, and Otsego
Township would also contribute to this traffic signal and its install-
ation,
Now therefore, it is hereby mutually agreed and understood that:
The Town Board of the Town of Otsego, Wright County, Minnesota,
requests the support of Senator Betty Adkins and Representative
Robert McEachern in getting the State to fund their share of the pro-
posed signal and its installation.
Motion seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to request the County Sheriff
to issue a citation to Roger Whiteoak for his dog barking and dis-
turbing the peace of the community. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed
unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and al-
lowed vertified accounts numbers 255 to 284, inclusive.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
