11-18-1985 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 18 day of November, 1985, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser & Norman Freske, Supervisors; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. The Town Board Meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The minutes of the November 4, 1985, Town Board meeting were approved as read. The proposed semaphore signal system the junction of State Hwy 101 and Wright County 36 and 130 was discussed. The Wright County Engineer has advised the Board there is a possibility that the Brain- erd Office of the State Highway Department may provide some of the funding for the semaphore because although State Highway 101 is in the Golden Valley District, Wright County itself is in the Brainerd District. The Wright County Commissioners have agreed to provide 50% of the balance of the funding not provided by the Brainerd Dis- trict. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to adopt the following resolution: Be it resolved that the Town of Otsego will match (not to ex- ceed $25,000.) the contribution of Wright County to the installation of the prosed semaphore signal system at the junction of State Hwy 101 and Wright County 36 and Wright County 103. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve Lani Will's request for a vaction on November 25, 26, 27. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. The Board Meeting recessed at this time and re -convened at the Albertville City Hall to discuss the Fire Contract with the City of Albertville for 1986. The Albertville City Council presented fig- ures to the Town Board indicating that the estimated cost of providing fire protection to the Town of Otsego for 1986 would be $7416.75. This figure is based on a 31% share of the Total Fire Department budget for 1986. Motion by Norman Freske to pay the City of Albertville $7,416.75 for fire protection in 1986 at the rate of $17.50 per unit for 428 units. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to leave the per-unit charge for the City of Elk River fire protection service area at $16.00 for 1986. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
