03-03-1986 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 3 day of March, 1986, at 8:00 p.m. Floyd Town of Otsego Roden, Chairman; Douglas Lindenfelser and Norm Freske, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Floyd Roden. The minutes of the February 17, 1986, Town Board meeting were approved as read. Gordon DeMars appeared before the Board regarding his injury and related part time work schedule. He said that he is still having problems caused by the injury and for the present would like to con- tinue on a 4 hour day, 20 hour week schedule. The Board advised him to continue on the 4 hour day schedule until the next Board meeting on March 17, 1986 and they would review his schedule again at that time. Glen Beltrand appeared before the Board to request a variance to build a home on an undersized lot. The lot is Parcel # 241-000- 353209 located in Section 35, Range 23. The Board advised him to appear at the next meeting of the Otsego Planning Commission on March 6, 1986, and present his variance request to them for their consider- ation. Basil Schillewart, County Commissioner representing Otsego Town- ship, appeared before the Board to give an update on items of interest to Otsego. He said that the petition of the Valerius family to have their farm in Otsego annexed to the City of Albertville will be dis- cussed at the Commissioner Meeting on March 4, 1986, and when the Public Hearing on the annexation is held, two County Commissioner from districts which do not include Otsego and Albertville will sit on the Municipal Commission. He also said the stop lights at the luction of Hwy 101 and County Road 36 & 130 are still being pursued and that the State Highway Department would probably install a perm- anent semaphore signal system by 1988 and pay 90% of the cost. The Town Board reviewed the treasurer salary at this time. He has received $80.00 per month for the preceding fiscal year. Motion by Floyd Roden to pay the treasurer $90.00 per month for the coming fiscal year. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to leave the mileage rate at $.23 and and the elected officals hourly rate at $7.50 for the coming fiscal year. Seconded by Floyd Roden, Passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to pay the election: judges $4.00 per hour and the chief election judge $4.50 per hour for the coming fiscal year. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to pay the clerk $200.00 per month which includes the first meeting of the month and $35.00 per meeting for the second meeting of the month and any other meetings required to attend. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to give Deputy Clerk Lani Will a two week paid vacation (not consecutively) at 24 hours per week during the coming fiscal year. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to raise Tani Will's wages from $5.55 per hour to $5.75 per hour for the coming fiscal year with 6 paid holidays. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. The Board will request a recess of the Annual Town Meeting being held March 11 1986 and to re -convene in September, 1986, to set the levy for 1987 because of the uncertainty of the future Rev- enue Sharing and what cuts the State will make.
