04-07-1986 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this
County of Wright 7 day of April, 1986, at 8:00 n.m. Douglas
Town of Otsego Lindenfelser, Chairman; Norman Freske and
Floyd Roden, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treas.;
Lani Will, Deputy Clerk; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Douglas Lindenfelser.
The minutes of the March 17, 1986, Town Board Meeting were approved
as read.
A group of residents of Otsego Township who live near the Martha
Valerius farm appeared before the Board to voice their opposition to
the request of the Valerius family to have the farm annexed to the
City of Albertville in order to develop the farm. The proposed buyer
has indicated he plans to put a mobile home park on the site. The
Minnesota Municipal Commission will be holding a public hearing on the
proposed annexation on friday, April 11, 1986, at the Albertville City
Hall and the Board advised as many as possible to attend the hearing
and voice their opinion.
Gordon DeMars appeared before the Board regarding his part time
work schedule which is at 20 hours per week at this time. He has
taken some stress tests and his doctor has requested that he come in
for more test because the stress stests have indicated the possibility
of some problems with his heart. Gordon also advised the. Board that
he has been experiencing some internal bleeding problems.
Rehabilitation Consultant Barb Isaacson has requested that Gordon
DeMars work schedule be increased to 30 hours per week at this time and
40 hours per week for May.
Motion by Floyd Roden to deny Barb Isaacson's request to increase
Gordon DeMars work schedule to 30 hours per week at this time and
40 hours per week by May due to health complications that became known
since Gordon DeMars agreed to the increase. Seconded by Norman Freske,
passed unanimously.
Motion by Norman Freske to table Sally Gulbransons request for
a variance to build an oversized shed as she failed to appear at the
meeting. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Richard Gardner appeared before the Board to request a. Conditional
Use Permit to build a riding arena to train horses. The building would
be 76' x 160' and would not be open to the public.
Motion by Floyd Roden to approve a conditional use permit for
Richard Gardner for a 76' x 160' riding arenanot to be open to the
public. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Motion by Floyd Roden to deny the request of Mark Kolles to sell
one acre from his 20 acre parcel of ag land to his brother to build a
house on because itisnt sufficient acreage for two houses on ag land.
Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Frank Cullinan, Mike Plude, and Don Sydow appeared before the
Board regarding Semi-trailer traffic on 91st Street. Dallas Howell,
who lives at 13922 NE 9lst.Street owns a fleet of 6 semi-trailers
which comes in on 91st Street at times fully loaded on a 5 ton raod.
The Board requested Lani Will to send Mr Howell a complaint that he
is overloaded on a 5 ton road, and requested the residents to notify
the sheriff when they see a semi-trailer on 91st Street.
Motionby Norman Freske to grant permission to the Wright County
Zoning Office and the Wright County Attorney to institute appropriate
action against William Harris for violations of Wright County Ordin-
ance Section 703, Refuse, and Section 714.3 miscellaneous nuisances
at Lot 22, Block 1: Walesch Estates 2nd Addition. Seconded by Floyd
Roden, passed unanimously.
