07-07-1986 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego convened County of Wright at 11: a.m., July 7, 1986, to open and accept Town of Otsego bids for the project of bituminous paving of Page Avenue from County Road 39 south to 85th Street and then 85th Street west to the exsisting bituminous street. Bids were received from Munn Blacktop, Inc., at $41,410.; Buffalo Bit- uminous, Inc., at $44,450. and H & S Asphalt Company Ft $44,490. The Town Board re -convened at 8:00 p.m. July 7, 1986. Douglas Lindenfelser, Chairman; Floyd Roden and Norman Freske, Supervisors; Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; Jerome Perrault, Clerk; and Peter Rasikka, Engineer, were present. The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Douglas Lindenfelser. The minutes of the June 16, 1986, Town Board meeting were approved as read. Peter Raatikka recommended to the Board that they accept the lowest bidder, Munn Blacktop, Inc., at $43,430 to do the bituminous surface project of Page Avenue and 85th Street. Motion by Norman Freske to accept the bid of Munn Blacktop, Inc., at $43,430 to bituminous surface Page Avenue and 85th Street. Seconded. by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Peter Raatikka reviewed with the Board the plans he has been pre- paring for the permanent drainage system for Halls Addition and the surrounding area. He said it will be necessary to do some ditching near the Otsego Park to get the water to flow to the river. He advised the Board to arrange a meeting with the County Commissioners to discuss the ditching needed and also felt that the townships attorney, Bill Radswill, should be present at the meeting. Bob Hanneman appeared before the Board to say that the basement of his home in Mississippi Shores was damaged by the water being pumped from Halls Pond, The Board advised him to submit a. claim for damage and the Board will present his claim to their Insurance company. Terry Rouselow appeared before the Board to request a variance to build a home closer than 30 feet from the side lot line(77'). His lot is 150 feet wide and his home with attached garage will be 96 feet long. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the variance request of Terry Rouselow to build 27 feet from the side lot line. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Mike Domino appeared before the Board to request a variance to build an addition to his garage making it a total of 1017 sq ft. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the variance request of Mike Domino to build an addition to his garage. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. The Pastor of the Frienship Baptist Church appeared before the Board to request an extension of the Conditional Use Permit to lease the building at the N.W. corner of the junction of C0.39 and Nashua Avenue for conducting church services. Motion by Norman Freske to approve the extension of the Conditional Use Permit for the Friendship Baptist Church for another year until the first Monday of July, 1987. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve a 2.1,- acre lot for Wayne Kolles purchased from James Lefebvre in Section 33, Range 23, located on Co. 122, contingent upon the lot being one legal description and one parcel number. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed vertified accounts numbers 144 to 192, Inclusive.
