12-15-1986 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this
County of Wright 15 day of December, 1986, at 8:00 n.m. Douglas
Town of Otsego Lindenfelser, Chairman; Norman Freske and Floyd
Roden, Supervisors; Lan. Will, Deputy Clerk,
Lewis Pouliot, Treasurer; and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Douglas Lindenfelser.
The minutes of the December 1, 1986, Town Board Meeting were anproved
as read.
Attorney Richard Cox aPneared before the Board to discuss the
Bond Issue for the Storm Drain Project. He said that because the a-
mount of the bond issue (over $100,000.) it is necessary to advertise
the sale of the bonds and not sell them just by negotitation. Because
of this, the sale of the bonds will probably take another 6 to 8 weeks.
The contractor would like a partial payment now and the Board instructed
the Treasurer to use money in the daily interest savings account to
make the payment.
Motion by Floyd Roden to make n partial payment of $140,000 at
this time and review the schedule of further payments to Northdele
Construction the first Monday in January, 1987. Seconded by Norman
Freske, passed unanimously.
The Board discussed the application of Al Schwab for a conditional
use permit for land fill and terrain alteration on his property along
the Crow River. The Otsego Planning Commission has done a site inspec-
tion of the project and notes that the filling that Mr Schwab has al-
ready done seems to be restricting the flow of water through a culvert
in the road by his project.
Motion by Floyd Roden to recommend to the Wright County Planning
Commission that further investigation of the project be made before
the conditional use permit is issued to Al Schwab. Seconded by Norman
Freske, passed unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed
vertified accounts numbers 443 to 457, inclusive.
On motion, the meeting adjourned.
