07-06-1987 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 6th day of July at 8:00 P.M., Norman Freske, Town of Otsego Chairman, Floyd Roden and Douglas Lindenfelser; Supervisors, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk, James Barthel, Treasurer, and Jerome Perrault, Clerk were present. The Meeting was called to order by Chairman, Norman Freske. Minutes of the June 15, 1987, Town Board Meeting were approved as read. Brad Praught appeared before the Board in regard to renewal of the Farm Accessory Mobile Home Permit on the Donald Praught farm. He said the mobil home is being used by the hired man. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve a 2-year extension of the Farm Accessory Mobile Home Permit for Donald Praught. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Harold Vetch appeared before the Board in regard to renewal of the Farm Accessory Mobile Home Permit for his farm. He said that his Son, Stanley lives in the mobile home and works on the farm. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to grant a two year extension of the Farm Accessory Mobile Home Permit for Harold Vetch. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Pastor Gary Ball of the Friendship Baptist Church and a group of members of the Baptist Church appeared before the Board to request renewal of the Variance to use the building at the N.W. corner of the junction of Nashua Avenue and County Rd.39 as a Church. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve a two year extension of the variance permitting the Friendship Baptist Church to use the building. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Maxim Valerius appeared before the Board in regard to a temporary use permit for a mobile home. The permit has expired and the Board asked if he was still using the mobile home. He said he is living in the mobile home until he can build a house. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to grant Maxim Valerius a one year extension of the temporary conditional use permit for a mobile home. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Don Sjoquist appeared before the Board to request a permit to build a 14' x 24 addition to his home on Parrish Avenue in the flood plain area just South of the bridge. The Otsego Planning Commission has done a site inspection and approved the addition. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to grant Donald Sjoquist a permit to build a 14' x 24' addition to his existing home. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to grant a one year extension of the Farm Accessory Mobile Home Permit for Kenneth Davis. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to send a letter to The Board of Adjustment requesting them to reconsider their decision to grant Al Friendshus a 5-acre split with the existing buildings instead of the 10-acres he had requested and to do a site inspection of the property. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Jim Peterson appeared before the board in regard to his plans to develop the Flora Kolles Estate Property. The Town Board has approved rezoning the property from Ag. to R-1, but the Otsego Planning Commission, while tabeling the action on the rezoning, have indicated a preference for an R-2 designation. The Board requested Mr. Peterson to appear at the Meeting of the Otsego Planning Commission on the first Thursday of August and the Town Board will also be present at the meeting to discuss the rezoning. Motion by Norman Freske to send Ilene Thackeray a second notice to remove the junk cars: from her lot. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. State of Minnesota July 6, 1987 Town Board Meeting County of Wright Page 2 Town of Otsego Minnegasco has applied for a permit to install a gas main along 60th Street N.E. The excavation will be 2Z feet deep, 18 inches wide and 400 feet long. Motion by Norman Freske to grant Minnegasco per- mission to install a gas main along 60th Street N.E., with the stipulat- ion the excavation be restored to original condition. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to make a final offer of $600.00 to Mr and Mrs. Robert Hanneman for damages to their basement from water pump- ing. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to hold a Public Hearing on the Bituminous Surfacing of Packard Avenue from Co. 122 South to the Town Line in conjuction with the Town Board Meeting on September 21, 1987. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, Passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to accept the plans and specifications for the Bituminous Surfacing of Kadler Avenue form Co. 39 to the Mississippi River. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to advertise for bids on the Bituminous Surfacing of Kadler Avenue, with the bids to be received on or before 11:30 A.M. July 20, 1987, with the bids to be opened at that time. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed verified accounts Nos. 143 to 197 inclusive. On Motion, the meeting adjourned. SUPERVISORS ATTEST: Jerome Perrault, Clerk
