County of Wright Otsego was held this 16th Day of July, 1987 at
Town of Otsego 8:00 P.M. Norman Fresk-e, Chairman, Floyd Roden
and Douglas Linderifelser, Supervisors, Elaine
Beatty, Deputy Clerk, Jerome Perrault, Clerk, William Radzwill, Attorney,
and Donald Leuer, Appraiser, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Norman Freske.
The meeting was called to discuss assessments on the Flora Kolles Estate
Property. The land is for sale and an interested buyer is planning to
develop it into Lots. If the land is assessed as Ag. Land at $50.00 per
acre it would be necessary to raise the Storm Drain Assessment in Halls
Addition from $2,700.00 to $3,250.00 per lot, and the $1,350.00 assessments
to $1,500.00.
Attorney William Radzwill advised the Board that you can treat farm land
that was drained as a different class from farm land that was not under
water. He advised the Board to raise the Assessment on 16 acres of the
Kolles Land to $2,000.00 per acre and leave the remaining 60 acres at
$50.00 per acre. In order t treat all property owners alike, he advised
the Board to raise two (2) acres of the Wilson Ag. Land to $2,000.00 per
acre, and one acre of Fabian Sadowski's farm land to $2,000.00.
Attorney Bill Radzwill also advised the Board to raise the $2,700.00
assessment in Halls Addition to $3,000.00.
On Motion, the meeting adjourned.
