09-21-1987 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this 21st County of Wright day of September, 1987 at 8:30 P.M. Norman Freske, Town of Otsego Chairman, Douglas Lindenfelser and Floyd Roden, Super- visors, James Barthel, Treasurer, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk, and Jerome Perrault, Clerk, were present. The Meeting was called to order by Chairman, Norman Freske. Minutes of the September 14, 1987 Town Board meeting were approved as read. Engineer, Pete Raatikka, recommended to the Board that they set the inter- est rate for the Kadler Avenue Project. He said the current interest rate at which bonds are selling is about 8%. Motion by Floyd Roden to set the interest rate for the Kadler Avenue project at 8%. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. The Board will meet with Engineer Pete Raatikka at the Kadler Avenue const- ruction site tomorrow at 4:00 P,M., September 22, 1987 to do a site inspection and check the progress of the bituminous surfacing project. Evelyn Koenig appeared before the Board to request an extension of the farm accessory mobile home permit for her brothers farm, the Kenneth and Harold Lindenfelser farm. Motion by DouglaS Lindenfelser to extend the farm accessory mobile home permit of Evelyn Koenig for one year. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unani- mously. Attorney, Richard Cox reported to the Board that he had talked to Zoning Administrator Tom Salkowski about a service road for the Mississippi Shores 6th Addition Commercial Lots. Mr. Salkowski's opinion was that because of the small size of the 6th Addition Lots, a service road would not be feasible. The Board felt that Rudy Thibodeau's plan of entering his minature golf course from Parkington Avenue and exiting onto the service road by the Tom Thumb Store 'Auld minimize the traffic problems. Donald Beauchane, of 9182 Parkington Circle, protested having the entrance to the golf course off a residential street, Parkington Avenue. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to accept the plan for the mineature golf course of Rudy Thibodeau with an entrance off Parkington Avenue, and exiting onto the service road by the Tom Thumb Store. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Edmund Martin of 10226 Parrish Avenue has been dumping fill on his lot without a permit to do so. Motion by Floyd Roden to request the County Zoning Administrator and County Attorney to take legal action to stop Edmund Martin from dumping fill on his lot and to remove the unauthorized fill already dumped on his lot. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to request the Otsego Planning Commission to view the advertising signs in the Township and determine which ones are complying with the County Ordinance and which ones are not. Seconded by Floyd Roden. Passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to purchase Six 14:00 X 24 Michelin Radial tires from Maus Tire Service of Monticello. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to have Maintenance man Dave Chase attend a winter road maintenance workshop in Willmar on October 15, 1987. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to have Dave Chase attend an asphalt pavement repair workshop in Bloomington on Wednesday October 7, 1987. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board audited and allowed verified accounts Nos. 299 to 309 inclusive. On Motion, the meeting adjourned.
