11-16-1987 Town Board MinutesState of Minnesota The Town Board of the Town of Otsego met this County of Wright 16th Day of November, 1987, at 8:00 P.M. Norman Town of Otsego Freske, Chairman, Floyd Roden and Douglas Linden- felser, Supervisors, James Barthel, Treasurer, Elainn Batty, Deputy Clerk, and Jerome Perrault, Clerk were present. The Meeting was called to order by Chairman, Norman Freske. Minutes of the November 2, 1987 Town Board Meeting were approved as Rudy Thibodeau presented the Board with updated plans for the mineature golf course he is planning on constructing in Mississippi Shores 6th Addition. He requested the Board to approve the plans and forward them to the County Zoning Administration. The Board agreed to the request. Mark Plude appeared before the Board to discuss his roadside advertising signs. He has a 4' x 4' sign on County #122 and 8' x 8' sign on Highway #101. The maximum size for a sign without a variance is 1' x 2' with the exception of the sign on high ay #101, which is on Commercial Zoned property and a larger sign is allowed. Mr. Plude will contact the County Zoning Administrator regarding sign sizes, variance requirements, and setback requirements. Motion by Floyd Roden to request Charles Axelson to appear at a Town Board Meeting to discuss obtaining a car ( or pickup) door sign identifying him as the Animal Control Warden. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, Passed Unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to charge Gil Darwald $120.00 for a used 18" x 20' culvert. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously. Motion by Norman Freske to request Dave Chase to check into the cost per mile of centerline marking and edge line marking of Township tarred roads. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously. Theodore Majerus of 9382 Ochoa Avenue (PID #214-017-002010), Lot 1, Block 2, Great River Acres Third Addition, has installed a roadside advertising sign that is too large. The Board requested Elaine Beatty to send him a letter advising him that his sign is not in compliance with the County Ordinance and send him a copy of that part of the County Ordinance pertaining to roadside advertising sins. Motion by Floyd Roden to purchase six (6) No Dumping Allowed, Violators Will Be Prosecuted" signs from the Earl F. Anderson Company, Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to purchase two (2) each of street signs for Oakwood Avenue and 70th Street. Seco.zded by Norman Freske, Passed Unani_mously. Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve a Dog Kennel Permit for Kathy Roberts of 9823 Kadler Avenue, N.E. with a stipulation of no more than Seven (7) adult dogs at one time, Permit to be granted for one (1) year. Seconded by Norman Freske, Passed unanimously. Motion by Floyd Roden to approve a Dog Kennel permit for Cheryl Adams of 10377 - 95th Street N. E. with the stipulation of no more than seven (7) adult dogs at one time, Permit to be granted for one (1) year. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, Passed unanimously.
