Town of Otsego P. M. Norman Freske, Chairman, Douglas
Lindenfelser and Floyd Roden, Supervisors,
James rthel, Treasurer, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk, and Jerome
Perrault, Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Norman Freske.
Minutes of the January 4, 1988 Town Board Meeting were
approved as. read.
James LeFebvre appeared before the Board to request a
Variance for a one -per -forty split from a seventy (70) acre
parcel that already has one (1) one -per -forty split. He wishes
to establish a one to two and one-Thalf (1) to (2) acre lot. A
Variance is required because eighty (80) acres is required for
two (2) one -per -forty splits. The parcel is PID #214-000-331201
located in Section 33, Range 23.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to table the Varriance request
of James LeFebvre until the second meeting in February. Seconded
by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
John Darkenwald, Gilbert Darkenwald, and George Yankoupe
appeared to present their plans for development of land owned
in Otsego by Darkenwald, Inc. They would like to rezone to A-3,
forty (40) acres in the SWC of the NWS of Section 26, Range 23
(Between Highway 101 and Quaday Ave.) as identified as Tract A-1
their exhibit and a one hundred and ten acre farm (110) on the
West side of Quaday Avenue in Section 27, Range 23, identified
as Tract B in their exhibit. Their plans and to develop the
property with single family,multiple family dwellings and apart-
ments, to be served by a sewer system and water system.
They also own a ninety-four acre farm (94) in Section 16,
Range 23, on the North side of County No. 39, identified as Tract
C on their exhibit of their farm. Twenty-five acres are in flood
plain area (25 acres) and sixty-one acres (61) are planned for
development into residential lots to be served by a sewer and
water system.
They are also requesting the N. E. corner of junction of
Highway #101 and County #36 and #130 and the S. W. corner of
this junction be Zoned Commercial. They are also requesting to
be Zoned Commercial an eight (8) acre parcel at the S. W. corner
of the junction of Highway #101 and County #122.
They are also requesting that the existing Mobile Home Park
be Zoned A-3.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve rezoning to
Commercial the N. E. Corner and the S. W. Corner of the junction
of Hwy. #101 and Co. #130 and Co. #36, and the eight (8) acres
at the S. W. Corner of the junction of Highway #10/ and Co. #122.
Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Motion by Norman Freske to recommend leaving area "C" (North
of County Number 39) Zoned R-1 for the present until such time that
plans are brought in for development of the sixty-one (61) acres
for high density single family homes, multiple dwellings and apart-
ments complete with a water and sewer system. Seconded by Douglas
Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to table action on rezoning
to A-3 areas A-1 and B at this time. Seconded by Norman Freske,
passed unanimously.

Wilfred Lindenfelser appeared before the Board to inform
them that he has purchased the fifty-six acre Tauber Farm in the
Southeast quarter of Section 28, Range 23 at the Northeast corner
of the Junction of County #37 and County #122 and plans to develop
the land into residential lots. The land is not in the area
designated for future residential development in the Township
Comprehensive Plan. The Town Board advised him to present his
plans to the Otsego Planning Commission at their February 4th
Meeting.
Dale Kangas appeared before the Board to present a price
quotation on a Computer for Township use. He represents the
Multi -Tech. Co. His quotation is as follows:

The Board advised him they will take his Quotation under
condideration.
Motion by Norman Freske to postpone the Town Board Meeting
scheduled for Monday, February 15th, until Monday, February 22,
at 8:00 P. M. as February 15th is a legal Holiday. Seconded by
Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by Floyd Roden to send a notice to Robert LeFavor of
14223 - 87th Street to remove the junk cars from his Lot by March
15, 1988. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
