Town of Otsego P. M. Norman Freske, Chairman, Floyd Roden
and Douglas Lindenfelser, Supervisors, James
Barthel, Treasurer, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk, and Jerome Perrault,
Clerk, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Norman Freske.
Minutes of the February 1, 1988 Town Board Meeting were
appro,red as read.
James LeFebvre appeared before the Board to request a variance
to make a second one per 40 split from a 70 acre parcel of Ag. land.
PID #214-000-331201, in Section 33, Range 23. According to the
Ordinance, 80 acres would be required for two (2) splits.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to deny James LeFebvre's request
for a variance to make a second 1 per 40 split from a 70lacre parcel,
at this tine, as the Land Use Plan Review has not been completed.
Seconded by Norman Freske. Douglas Lindenfelser and Norman Freske
voted in favor of the motion, Floyd Roden abstained.
Richard Kincannon appeared before the Board to request a
permit to move a house from one lot to another. There are two (2)
homes on one lot and none on the other. He wants to move one home
from PID # 214-000-204202 to PID #214-000-244201.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to approve the request of
Richard Kincannon for a permit to move a house from one lot to
another. Seconded by Norman Freske, passed unanimously.
Assessor Andrew Merges appeared before the Board to say that
he had met with Dale Kangas of the Multi -Tech Computer Company and
Mr. Kangas advised him that A Company Engineer could revise a soft
ware package so that it would do what was needed for the Assessors
work sheets. The Board advised him they had not reached a decision
as yet on which Computer to purchase and requested Elaine Beatty to
contact the companies that have given price quotations to the Town-
ship and request information from them regarding the cost of
service and availability and closeness of service.
Motion by Norman Freske to have Assessor Andrew Metges attend
a "Basic Income Approach to Valuation" traning course March 14, thru
march 18th, 1988 at the Highway Training Center in New Brighton.
Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by Norman Freske to pay Assessor Andrew Merges a salary
of $4.20 per parcel assessed for the 1987-1988 assessment year.
Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Bajari, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Merges and Mr.
and Mrs. Bernard Roden appeared before the Board to ask if there
Had been any more information on the Cold Region Test Strip Project
of The Department of Transportation. The Board advised them that
the Township Attorney.had been in contact with the Department of
Transportation and the Dept. had advised him that a feasibility study
on the project was being prepared and would be presented to the
Board in two to three Months. Until the feasibility study is rec-
eived, there would be no new developments.
Motion by Norman Freske to sell Wayne White the pickup topper
for $175.00. Seconded by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Motion by Norman Freske to pay Elaine Beatty a wage of $6.75
per hour for a thirty hour week, eight CO paid Holidays, New Years,

Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas, Two Weeks (2) paid vacation, and
mileage at $.23 per mile for the coming fiscal year, March 1,
1988 thru February 28, 1989.
Motjon by Floyd Roden to pay Dave Chase $9.75 per hour, time
and a half for over 40 hours per week, and Sundays, Double Time on
Holidays, 8 - paid Holidays, New Years, Presidents Day, Memorial
Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas,
two weeks (2) paid vacation, $150.00 per month for Medical Insurance
for the coming fiscal year, March 1, 1988 thru February 28, 1989.
Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by Norman Freske to pay Jesse Chase $6.50 per hour, 4
Four •lid holidays, one week (1) paid vacation, for the fiscal
year March 1, 1988, Thru February 28, 1989. Seconded by Douglas
Lindenfelser, passed unanimously.
Motion by Douglas Lindenfelser to pay Maus Tire Company
$2,626.82 for 12 - 10:OOx 20 truck tires and 8 tubes. Seconded
by Floyd Roden, passed unanimously.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board Audited and
allowed Verified Accounts Nos. 531 to 557 inclusive.
On motion the meeting adjourned.
