Town of Otsego September, 1988 at 8:00 P.M.
Norman Freske, Chairman, Floyd
Roden. and Douglas Lindenfelser, Supervisors, James Barthel,
Treasurer, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk, and Jerome Perrault
Clerk, were present.
The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Norman
Freske.
Minutes of the September 7, 1988 Town Board Meeting were
approved as read.
The question was asked if Minnegasco was paying the
Township any fee fur the privelege of putting in gas lines
along Township roads. The Board replied that they were not
and that the main gas lines and up to two hundred feet (200')
of lead in lines are being put in at no cost to the consumer.
Engineer Peter Raatikka appeared before the Board anc.
presented the bill for sealcoating from Allied Blacktop, Inc.
The bill was for $26,663.74 and the bid amount was
$23,395.30. Mr. Raatikka expJained that the bill exceeded
the bid amount because more oil was used than the bid called
for as some streets were twenty three feet (23') wide instead
of twenty two feet (22') which was the width used to
calculate the bid advertisements.
Motion was made by Douglas Lindenfelser to pay Allied
Blacktop, Inc., $26,663.74. The Motion was seconded by Floyd
Roden.
Douglas Lindenfelser and Floyd Roden voted in favor of
the Motion, Norman Freske voted no.
The Board signed a letter addressed to County Zoning
Administration, Tom Salkowski recommending that the Flora
Kolles Estate property be re -zoned R-1.
Motion by Floyd Roden that a notice be sent to Tom
Salkowski that Gerald Baron of 14210 N.E. 62ND Street has not
complied with the conditions that he clean up his lot in
order to obtain a Conditional Use Permit to move a 14' x 20'
garage onto his lot. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, all
Board Members voted in favor of the Motion.
Proceeding as a Board of Audit, the Town Board Audited
and allowed Verified Accounts Nos. 342 to 356 inclusive.
On Motion, the meeting adjourned.
