07-16-1990 Public Hearing MinutesSTATE OF MN A continuation of the COUNTY OF WRIGHT Public Hearing on the TOWN OF OTSEGO construction of 85th St. from Page Ave. to Co. 42 was held this 16 day of July, 1990, at 7:30 PM. Norman Freske, Chairman, Floyd Roden and Douglas Lindenfelser, Supervisors, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk, Judy Hudson, Secretary, Jerome Perrault, Clerk, Bill Radzwill, Attorney, and Rose Abel, Engineer, were present. The Hearing was called to order by Chairman Norman Freske. Rollie Christian appeared before the Board regarding the Lefebvre property. He said they have talked to Wright - Hennepin Electric concerning moving the poles and they are considering moving theirs at no cost to the property owners. He also said they will not need the driveway for Farm No. 2 and asked that the charge of $6,000.00 for the driveway be removed. Bill Radzwill said that any costs that can be saved will be passed on to the property owners. Rollie Christian asked if John Lefebrve could be allowed 2 lots on one 40 acre parcel to help pay the assessment on his 2 parcels. Bill Radzwill advised him that the County would not permit it. He advised him that one possibility would be for John Lefebvre to become part of the plat of the adjoining parcels. Ross Abel said that by eliminating the driveway the per unit assessment would be reduced to $15,469 for each of the 4 parcels. If the electric poles are moved at no cost, the assessment will be further reduced. Bill Radzwill advised Mr. Christian that all cost figures presented are Engineer's estimates and not final. The cost of constructing 65th Street will be a 50-50 split between the land owners and the Township. Any savings realized will be also a 50-50 split between the Township and land owners. The Board agreed to defer the assessment on John Lefebvre's land for 2 years. Motion by Floyd Roden to re -convene the Hearing on July 31, 1990, at 2:00 PM. Seconded by Douglas Lindenfelser, all Board Members voted in favor of the motion.
