The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman F. Freske. A new list of environmental questions concerning Country Ridge Development has been received from MCPA and Larry Koshak and Lynn Caswell (Engineer for Country Ridge Development) will not have time to respond by May 31. One question was the question on the requirement that all wells be drilled down to the Mt. Simon-Hinckley aquifer and what guarantee that this would be done. Mr. Koshak said the City of Otsego already requires this and the fact that all wells are required to be registered with the State and this should be proof. Another question was the nitrate content of the water in the upper aquifer. Mr. Caswell said he has already submitted samples of the water for testing. Mr. Emmerich said they would be willing to put in 2 monitoring wells in Country Ridge so as to keep a check on the nitrate level at all times. Mr. Koshak commented that the City should consider putting in monitoring wells so these questions could be answered for future developments. Another question raised was the location of the septic systems on some of the lots. Mr. Caswell said this could be answered by re-locating the systems to a more favorable spot on the lot. Bill Radzwill asked Mr. Koshak and Mr. Caswell if they could respond to all the questions by June 8, 1992 and they said that they could.
