COUNTY OF WRIGHT Otsego held a Special Council
CITY OF OTSEGO Meeting this 26 day of August,
1992, to determine the tax levy for
the year of 1993. Norman F. Freske, Mayor, Doug
Lindenfelser, Floyd Roden, Larry Fournier and Ron Black,
Council Members, Jerome Perrault, Clerk, James Barthel
Treasurer, and Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk/Zoning
Administrator, were present.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman F.
Freske.
By using the expenses for the first 7 months of 1992 as
a guideline, the Council projected the following amounts for
1993 expenses for the Administrative (General) Fund:
Employees & Administrative Staff$125,000.00
Mayor & Council.... ............. 38,000.00
Materials & Supplies 30,000.00
Miscellaneous Expenses. .. 30,000.00
Contracted Services.. ... 300,000.00
Capital Expenses.. 150,000.00
TOTAL $673,000.00
Part of the cost of the Contracted Service will be paid
by building permit fees and permit & hearing fees.
The Council projected the following expenses for the
Street Department (Road & Bridge Fund):
Maintenance men wages $110,000.00
Materials & Supplies 84,000.00
Street Main. (Seal Coating/graveling) 30,000.00
Capital Expense (new equipment) 15,000.00
TOTAL $239,000.00
The wage projection was made with the intent to hire a
third man at least on a part time basis. The Council will
request 25% of the MSA Fund (about $80,000) for maintenance
purposes and by doing so reduce the levy for the Road &
Bridge Fund to $160,000.00
The Council projected the Bond & Interest Fund (Debt
Service) expenses for principal and interest payments to be
$30,000 over the amount received from assessments for past
bond issues and $75,000 projected for principal and interest
payments on a proposed 1992 Bank Qualified Bond Issue. The
Council projected a total of $105,000 needed for 1993 Bond &
Interest Fund.
Motion by Floyd Roden to set the 1993 tax levy to be
certified to the County Auditor at:
Revenue Fund (General) '$280,000.00
Road & Bridge Fund 160,000.00
Bond & Interest Fund.. ....... 105,000.00
TOTAL $545,000.00

The motion was seconded by Ron Black, all Council
Members voted in favor of the motion.
On motion the meeting adjourned.
