11-05-1992 Election Meeting MinutesSTATE OF MN The City Council of the City of COUNTY OF WRIGHT Otsego met this 5 day of Nov., CITY OF OTSEGO 1992, at 3:00 PM to canvass the results of the City Election held Nov. 3, 1992. Norman F. Freske, Mayor, Doug Lindenfelse'r, , Floyd Roden, Larry Fournier and Ron Black, Council Members, Jerome Perrault, Clerk, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk/Zoning Administrator, and Judy Hudson, Secretary, were present. The Canvassing Board was called to order by Mayor Norman F. Freske. Motion by Ron Black to certify and forward to the Wright Co. Auditor the following results of the City Election: For Mayor: Norman F. Freske 956 votes Mario Giordano 699 votes Chas V. Kolles 622 votes For the Two Council Positions: Larry Fournier 1400 votes Ron Black 950 votes Merlin Brisbin 824 votes Bill A. Olson 674 votes Seconded by Floyd Roden, all Council Members voted favor of the motion. Motion by Floyd Roden to accept the figures as to the number of voters registered at 7:00 AM on Election Day, new registrants at the polling place on Election Day, the number of voters on the Polling Place Roster, and the number of Absentee Ballots as follows: Number of persons registered at 7:00 AM 2736 Number of new registrants on Election Day 546 Number of signatures on Polling Place Roster2376 Number of accepted regular Absentee Ballots72 Number of accepted Absentee Ballots from voters entitled to vote for Federal Office only2 Number of accepted Absentee Ballots from voters entitled to vote for President and Vice President only 1 TOTAL NUMBER OF VOTERS VOTING IN THIS PRECINCT 2451 Seconded by Larry Fournier, all Council Members voted in favor of the motion. Motion by Floyd Roden to have the Chief Election Judge collect all complaints regarding Election Day Procedures and forward the same to the Wright Co. Attorney. Seconded by Ron Black, all Council Members voted in favor of the rnotion. Regarding other City Council business: Motion by Ron Black to approve a change order to install a 1 1/2 inch layer of asphalt on the front City Hall Parking Lot.
