CITY OF OTSEGO - of May, 1993, at 7:00 PM. Norman F.
Freske, Mayor, Doug Lindenfelser,
Floyd Roden, Larry Fournier and Ron Black, Council Members,
Jerome Perrault, Clerk, Elaine Beatty, Deputy Clerk/Zoning
Administrator, Andrew Merges, Assessor, and Duane Swenson,
Deputy County Assessor, were present.
The Board of Review was called to order by Mayor_ Norman
F. Freske.
Andrew Merges and Duane Swenson presented the Council
with a list of the properties that they rechecked following
the Board of Review Meeting held April 22 and the changes
they were recommending,
Earl Underdahl, PID 118-~032--002200. They reduced
the valuation of his garage from $5,900.00 to $4,320.00
because it was not in very good condition and made no change
on the valuation of the dwelling.
Motion by Ron Black to approve the re --evaluation of the
Earl Underdahl prov?erty. . Seconded by Doug Lindenfelser, all
Council Members voted in favor of the motion.
James Iverson, PTD 118..-047-001040. They reduced the sq
ft of his house from 1040 to 1005 sq ft which reduced the
valuation from $38,800 to $36,800 and reduced the valuation
of the basement by $2.00 a sq ft. The shed was larger than
previously indicated (30 X 40 instead of 30 X 30) and they
increased the value of this. Overall the valuation was
deceased from $56,100 to $54,000. Mr, Swenson said he would
check on Mr. Iverson's request to have his land classified as
AG (a tree farm) however, no income was reported in 1990 and
$800.00 in 1991.
Motion by Larry Fournier to approve the change in Mr.
Iverson's valuation. Seconded by Doug Lindenfelser, all
Council Members voted in favor of the motion.
Loren Blackwell, PID 118-047-001010. No changes were
made in his valuation of $152,000. Motion by Ron Black to
accept the recommendation of the Assessor and Deputy Count'
Assessor concerning Mr. Blackwell's valuation. Seconded by
Doug Lindenfelser, all Council Members voted in favor of the
motion..
Luther Quanrud , PID 110-049-006030. They reduced the
classification of his house from a D-7.5 to a D-7 which
reduced the valuation from $106 ,000 to $96,000. They added a
whirlpool tub at $1,000.00 and a 3 fixture bathroom at $1 ,200
and raised the valuation of the garage from $6,900 to
$8,600.00. The overall change was a reduction in valuation
from $117,000 to $112,000.
Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the reduction in Mr.
Quanrud's valuation. Seconded by Larry Fournier , all Council
Members voted in favor of the motion.
James Cook, PID 110-800-24'3300. They lowered the
classification of his howse from a D-6,5 to a D6 . reducing

of Mr. Cook's house. Seconded by Doug Lindenfelser, all
Council Members voted in favor of the motion.
Michael Gregorson, PID 118-031-004011. His horse
measured 25' by 67' and they reduced it from 98% to a 97% and
reduced the valuation from $36,600 to $30,951.
Motion by Larry Fournier to approve the reductitsn in
valuation of Mr. Gregorson's property. Seconded by Doug
Lindenfelser, all Council Members voted in favor of the
motion.
Richard Dahlin, PID 118--032--002210. They made no
changes in his valuation. Motion by Doug Lindenfelser to
accept the recommendation of the Assessor and Deputy CO.
Assessor on Mr. Dahlin's property. Seconded by Floyd Roden,
all Council Members voted in favor of the motion.
Fred Watts, PID 118-033--002151. They checked the
measurements of his house and they were correct, however, the
porch will be remo+ied. They reduced the valuation of the
house from $33,000 to $25,000 and the value of the lot stayed
the same at $20,000.
Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the reduction in Mr.
Watt's valuation. Seconded by Doug Lindenfelser, all Council
Members voted in favor of the motion.
Scott Kohler, PID 118--121-005110 & 118w-121--005100. They
reduced the valuation of his vacant lot (005110) from
$5,000.00 to $2,500.00 and no change was made in the
valuation of his horse at. $145,600.00.
Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the reduction in
valuation of Mr. Kohler's vacant lot. Seconded by Doug
Lindenfelser, all Council Members voted in favor of the
motion.
Dorothy Olson, PID 118---046-001030. They put a flat rate
on her mobile home and reduced the valuation from $23,000 to
$10,000.
Motion by Larry Fournier to accept the recommendation of
the Assessor and Deputy Co. Assessor on the Olson valuation.
Seconded by Ron Black, all Council Members voted in favor of
the motion.
Paul Gabel, 110-033-001040. They changed the
classification of his basement from finished to unfinished
and reduced the valuation of his home from $92,200 to
$87,800.
Motion by Doug Lindenfelser to approve the reduction in
valuation of Mr . Gobel 's house . Seconded by Larry Fournier,
all Council Members voted in favor of the motion
Blanch Barsody, 118--010..039010. She :is tearing down the
old house and they lowered it's valuation from $20,400.0 to
$2,500.00 and reduced her total valuation from $91,600 to
$69,600.
Motion by Ron Black to approve the reduction in
valuation of the Barsody propertySeconded by Doug

John DeMars , PID 118-500-191206. They reduced the size
of his addition from 24' X 24' to 24' X 22' and reduced his
valuation from $63,900 to $57,800.
Motion by Larry Fournier to approve the reduction in
valuation of the DeMars property. Seconded by Floyd, -Roden,
all Council Members voted in favor of the motion.
Loren Nagel, 118--034-002200. This is a berm home and
the outside appearance is not as attractive as a conventional
house. They did lower the classification and lowered the
valuation from $63,000 to $54,000.00.
Motion by Floyd Roden to approve the recommendation of
the Assessor and Deputy Co. Assessor on the Nagel property.
Seconded by Doug Lindenfelser, all Council Members voted in
favor of the motion.
Andrew Merges said Neal Thompson had called, that they
stopped to check his home, but he was not at home.
On motion the meeting adjourned.
