PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR UNPAID ADMINISTRATIVE FINES AND SERVICE
CHARGES RELATED TO ABATEMENT OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE VIOLATIONS AND'
RENTAL HOUSING VIOLATIONS

1. Mayor Stockamowill open Public Hearing.
Mayor Stockamp opened the Public Hearing at 5:33 PM.
Roll Call: Mayor Stockamp; Councilmembers: Vern Heidner, Tom Darkenwald,
Mark Thorsted and Dan Scharber.
Staff: Mike Robertson, City Administrator; Gary Groen, Finance Director; Andy
MacArthur, City Attorney; Dan Licht, City Planner and Tami Loff, Deputy Clerk.
2. City Attorney comments.
Andy Macarthur reviewed the purpose of the hearing and the procedure.
3. Presentation of the Assessment Roll.
Dan Licht presented the list of Administrative fines and Rental Housing Fines. Mr. Licht
noted that if the fee is not paid in full in 30 days, there will be a $100 fee added.
4. Public Comments.
Cole Grey, 12344 67th street, said his landlord said he had to pay this assessment as it
was about the water bill. Mr. Robertson said that the assessment for water bills was
two weeks ago. Finance Director Gary Groen checked and this address is on the list for
rental violation and it was explained that the property owner is responsible for that fee
not the renter.
Curt Hanson, 9163 Kahl Court, president of Eight on the Green Association, explained
that they did not take over the association until after the citation was sent. Dan Licht
said that they have cleaned up the property. Staff recommends voiding the citation.
5. Close the Public Hearing.
Mayor Stockamp closed the Public Hearing at 5:42 PM.
6. City Council discussion and action.
Council agreed that Mr. Grey is not responsible for the fees it is the property owner that
should be. Administrator Robertson said he would notify the property owner.
CM Heldner motioned to adjourn. Seconded by CM Darkenwald. All in favor.
Motion carried.
